Good Morning (no one went to bed last night) from New Orleans..what a game yesterday
most of us will be rooting for the Dallas Cowboys to win today so we can kick their butts next week ..then bring on the Colts, we love our home grown Peyton Manning , but the Saints will rule (and maybe Peyton can be only the 2nd MVP from a losing team)
Rumor has it TC didn't get much sleep either! We managed to get her from the airport to her hotel room in time to see the game. Her "Who Dat" shirt worked well as a good luck charm!
Just as it hurt the University of Texas, losing your QB early seems to demoralize a team.
See y'all in a week!
Snooze cruise is in effect!

Well Venice this could not be going any better if I orchestrated it myself. Nothing will make me happier than to see my Colts and your Saints go to the Superbowl. What happens after that is all good! Congrats!
Morning Mates, I must admit I am not a football fan, so I know not of what you speak, but it sounds like there's some good-natured rivalry going on!
It's another bright, sunny day here in my little part of Nova Scotia. Two in a row is hard to come by! Unfortunately, it's also -12C with a windchill of -19, which makes it -2F. Brrrr!
No big plans today, all the cleaning got done yesterday. Will probably do some more program planning and sorting through equipment they gave me to use, have to choose what I think I need.
Wishing you all a great Sunday, and Mike sorry to hear of your most recent bout with pain, hope it "passes" quickly!
Saw part of the game, and yep, the Saints played a good game. I don't have a vested interest, but I enjoyed the game, just the same.
Last night we had a pre-cruise get together in Galveston. I was trying to remember everyone there, and I don't think I can recall everyone's name. There were 19 of us (I think). A good time was had by all. It was so nice to see those we met on the Blogger's Cruise, again, and meet new friends. We will all be on the ship and enjoying life at sea, by this afternoon.
Everyone have a great week, and hold down the fort, until I return!
Bon Voyage!

Phil, hope you and Liz have a grand time along with all others on your "Snooze cruise."
Uhhh...... it's "our" Colts B/W (which has always been my team as well since the days of Henry "Big Daddy" Lipscomb, John Unitas, et. al.). Now there's no way you can remember watching those folks play! I also thought it very fitting that they did a number on that inconsequential team from Baltimore. It's kinda' like the Mavens beat the Ravens!
Yep Venice, you have every right to be on cloud nine.....at least until Indianapolis comes to town. But as you so aptly pointed out, if such is the case, New Orleans can't lose in any event.
It's off shortly to the Doctor with Fran. While she has stopped losing weight (much I'm sure to her chagrin but certainly not to mine) she still suffers nausea and extreme fatigue. Hopefully he can do something for that before she sees her oncologist on Tuesday.
It's been awhile since we've had our "Sunday Dinner" and so I am hoping to stimulate her appetite by fixing one today. We're' gonna have roast pork (that has been dredged in flour for a nice crust) with home made gravy, potato wedges roasted in butter until just the centers aren't crispy, home made fried apples, steamed spinach with butter, yeast rolls (of course) and for dessert, hot apple turnovers topped with ice cream.
Hope everyone's day is a marvelous one!
Prayers for those on the list accompanied by a request for Blessings on all, of course continue.
I welcomed twin kidney stones Rocky and Rockette into the world yesterday. Rocky arrived around 2:30 p.m. and his larger sister Rockette arrived around 11:00 p.m.
It was not a fun day and today I feel like Betty used me as a punching bag but I will be fine. I'm lucky they didn't decide to emerge a week from now when I was on the cruise.
Venice: I'm sorry but Brett has been on a Geritol drip all week and has been taking large amounts of Glucosamine and chondroitin so he will be in top shape today. I feel that we will go head to head with you all for the NFC championship.
I am just resting up today so there is nothing on the schedule.
I hope everyone has a great Sunday.
Take care,
Mike

Good Morning cruisemates! Woke to a beautiful sunrise this morning in Scottsdale, with the ducks quacking, the geese honking, Mrs. Kuki doing her imitation of the Iron Horse crossing the prairies. She would never swear like a truck driver, but she makes sounds like the truck
Last night my brother in law through a surpise birthday party for my sister, and by default for me They surprised my sister, but I'm not that gullible
Friends from home flew in, and are here for a week, so a busy week ahead.
Good morning football fans and non-football fans! Serious rain predicted for us, but right now, you'd never know it. The sun is shining and it's a little chilly, but a beautiful morning, anyway.
My day will consist of the Sunday paper, the crossword, and nagging Keith to get his packing under way. I have a good start on my own packing and just might finish the majority of it this afternoon. As a reward, I'd like a nice lunch somewhere.
