Hi Beenie!
You've done this group cruise thing before, when do the boards start getting active? Guess I'm like a kid on this one, been wanting to go to Hawaii for a long time.

It just depends and I agree it is much more fun to share the anticipation with others who are going too. Right now some of the folks who are booked on this are gone on the Snooze Cruise, so I am not sure how much activity you'll see, but it will definitely pick up as the time approaches and we get a few months out. I would guess at about 6-9 months out folks will start to discuss pre & post cruise arrangements, flights etc...

It is so hard when you book these cruises so early, it takes forever. But those are also the best because you have over a year to get to know all the folks you'll be cruising with.

Guess I'll have to be more patient. I just have sooo may questions, for me planning is half the fun of it, sure helps pass these dreary winter days.

Hey if you have questions, throw them out there. There are a lot of folks here who probably can answer them. No need to wait. Maybe you can stir up some excitement.

Yep, I'm excited here too but life/work just seem to be getting in the way of regular board posting but I do lurke so if I see a question I can help with I'll chime right in. Have done all but one of the Let's Get Lei'd cruises so I may be able to help with some of your questions. Anyway, you will see activity pick up fairly soon...let's hope. Looking forward to meeting you and seeing old buddies

Excited? I'm ecstatic! Love those long cruises, return Hawaii. Who the heck doesn't want to "get lei'd"?

Okay its time for me to start planning this Hawaii cruise. I'm sorry to say we almost jumped ship the other day, got a real good deal from Oceania on the inaugural voyage of the Marina. Two for one with free airfare, but I didn't check my e-mails in four days and by the time I called it was sold out.

Does anyone know of a good Luau on any of the Islands we will be visiting, all the ones I have found start to late in the evening. Also, on Pearl Harbor would it be best to do it on our own or do the ship shore excursion?

Default Roll call???

Are you referring to a group on this site (where is it?) or cruise critic? Cruise critic is pretty dead!

Hi Marianne!!!
There was a group here that just returned from the Snooze Cruise on the Conquest. Sounds like they had a blast. I wish I could have gone along with them, but too many irons in the fire right now.

We did the Paradise Cove Luau in Oahu about 20 years ago. They are still operating. We had a blast here is the website. I hope that helps.

Thanks Katlady
Paradis Cove sounds good, and it would leave us 2 hours to get back to the ship.

Default Luau

Do you think we can get a better rate on a luau if we book as a group?
Perhaps our fearless leader might have an idea or two!
