Default It's Sunday at Sea

And I'm cruising and you're not.

Good morning everyone:
Having a wonderful time on the Radiance. I love being back on this class of ship. It reinforces my opinion that these are one of the most beautiful ships at sea.
We have a lovely GS cabin.

The Seaview Cafe is my favorite dining venue. Last night was formal night and the fish and chips I had for lunch was definitely better than the fillet and escargot in the MDR.

I have drove Betty over the edge and she's climbing the walls. She made it to the top with no problem. Not bad for a sexagenarian.

Only negative is the MDR food. It could be better but they have eight more days to wow me.
Take care,
Mike

Good morning Mike and all those to folow.

Great photos along with a thread title that we all can envy! So glad you are enjoying your cruise on the Radiance. That is one of our favorite ships too. I'm not surprised to see Betty scale that wall after all the roof work and other things that she has been known to tackle. Way to go Betty!!!!!!

All is well here. I had the privelege yesterday to meet a woman who was saved from Stalin by the American soldiers years ago. She stands on at an intersection in W. Palm beach for a couple of hours six days a week with signs asking people to protect our liberty and freedom. She is one amazing woman, and it was an honor to stand with her.

Beenie, I'm so glad that you have been able to make other arrangements for your daughter.

My heart and prayers going out for Todd and Fran and all those who are struggling right now.

Phyll

Hey Mike,
Good to hear from you onboard Radiance...Cruised on her years ago, she's absolutely lovely. Hey, how is the weather down there now?

Continue to have fun, hope you get some good food you can tell us about..

Good morning everyone from a mild albeit overcast and extremely windy upper East Tennessee. Heavy winds were predicted for today, up to 60 Miles per hour, but we live in a wind tunnel which only adds to those velocities. I love the wind..........until I have to have the shingles replaced!

Glad you're having a grand time Mike. Hope the food picks up in the MDR. Now all we need is a picture of you at the top of that wall! Of course the chances of that happening are about the same as my doing it.

I'm sorry to say Phyll that I think things still aren't going that well with Fran. While her level of nausea has drastically reduced, she nevertheless remains in ordinately fatigued. She has been asleep now for about twelve hours.

Good Morning CruiseMates!!!
Wow Mike, that just is such an inviting suite. Betty is my hero BTW, good for her! I hope you continue to have a great time and that the MDR food improves.

Phyl thanks so much, I appreciate your kind thoughts. I love hearing stories like the one about your new friend. Unfortunately so many of us here in this part of the world take our freedoms and liberty for granted. We often don't realize how fortunate we are until it is gone.

I hope Todd and Fran are doing alright this weekend. I get used to getting his updates and when we don't hear from him I grow concerned.

Last night I got to watch Julie & Julia. I can so identify with the characters in this movie. It isn't the cooking or even the personalities, nothing like that... It is more like the serendipity and ordering of their steps. They kept moving and kept trying to make things happen and it all came together and worked for them. The doors opened. They didn't give up and eventually what seemed to be coincidence and chance ended up defining everything in their lives. I enjoyed it immensely.

Sami, Alice the parakeet and I are the only creatures awake in the house. We've been up a while. Sami and I got up. I fed Sami then went and changed the food and water in Alice's cage. Sami was hopeful I might let her have Alice as a post breakfast snack but no dice .

Today I think we'll take the kiddos roller skating. We haven't done that in a while and it will be good for them to get out and move, since they will be sitting around quite a bit for a while soon enough. There's not much else happening here. Hope you all have a great Sunday!!!

*** Todd I didn't see your post until after I posted. We'll be praying for you both. Hang in there sweety!

Strange, I posted about 2 hours ago and it seems to have disappeared....

Mike, glad to hear you're enjoying your cruise. Tell Betty I said "Way to go!", don't know if I'd have the nerve to climb that wall!

Todd, sorry to hear Fran is doing so poorly. Prayers continue for healing...

BW, you're taking the kids rollerskating?? Can I come?? I only wish I could find a rink somewhere around here that does not have ice on it. Hockey is the only sport on skates in these parts....

Meanwhile, I got myself a pair of snowshoes yesterday and tried them out on the property - it was so much fun, and so much easier than I thought!
Here's a pic....there's more in the Personal Gallery if you're interested...

Good Morning from New Orleans..Mike, glad you are enjoying your cruise..Todd I'm on my way to church so I will say a prayer for your much beloved partner

There is another smallfootball game at the Super Dome at 540 pm today..no one seems to be excited about it in this City...churches have cancelled their 11 o'clock service and rolled it into their 800 am service so that everyone will have enough time to say a prayer for our Saints

I'lll check back in at about 9 pm tonight

Good morning all,
Sure Mike rub it in our faces I’m glad you and Betty are having a great time. Your room looks awesome too. Thanks for the update. A rainy day here today it‘s melted most of the snow. From what they say we should be getting a little more snow this week . I’m not to sure about the temp as of yet haven’t gotten that far in the day yet. Just having my tea and typing. I do know yesterday the weatherman said highs in the 30’s but when I left my house to go to work at 4:00 p.m. it was 46 f. Why are they paid so much? Need to do a good cleaning today and then a nice dinner out with the family.
My prayers are with you Todd and Fran.

Have a blessed day!

Good Morning cruisemates! Now that Mike has made us all green with envy we can get on with our day.

Frost and fog on the golf course this morning, but the sun is shining brightly, and the skys are cloudless, so looks like it's going to turn into a beautiful day.

Mrs. Kuki is going to drop me at the golf course later this morning, and head to Tempe to visit with Kuki Jr. She's such a soft touch, that this likely means she'll take him shopping and buy him groceries for the next month.

Have to pop over to my mother's condo for awhile this morning, as it's payday her caregiver. To date she has been enjoying her time as a snowbird here as well, and has finished all the decorating that I began before she came down. Other than a short bout with Broncitis her health has been pretty good during her visit, so its made it easier on everyone.... and she's missed a bunch of winter at home.
