Default A White Tuesday..again

Well we had more snow overnight and it is still coming down! Looks like about another 3 inches on the ground with more expected. When will this end? I am with BW if I see that groundhog he better run!
All the schools in a 3 county area are closed so I may have a couple of kids spend the day with me. If the parents can get out to bring them. They road crews have not made any attempt to clear our roads yet it is a losing battle right now. Guess I shouldn't complain it is worse on the east coast.
Today I had planned on spending it doing some office work so that is a good thing. Pretty sure our square dance tonight will be cancelled as the hall we dance in is at the top of a hill.
Everyone have a good day and hope the snow misses you. Prayers to all our mates in need.

Morning Sue, and all to follow....
Yes, it's a white Tuesday here too. It snowed all day yesterday, all night, and it's still snowing. Thing is, it's been very light, no blowing storm, just light flurries, mixed with a bit of freezing rain, and the accumulation is not too bad.
Life goes on as usual around here, the plows are salt trucks are just apart of daily life...
Today is a long day for me, swimming, 2 classes to teach, then home to relax and wait for LOST! I can't believe it's going to be again after such a long wait!
Back pain is still there but easing, sore throat/cough is much better, and the cortisone shot in the elbow seems to have done the trick there, so all in all, a much better week for me!

Mike, hope you are feeling better too, and also Keith & Judy, Todd & Fran.
Take care,

donna

Good Morning CruiseMates,
I just stuck my head out the front door and there is most definitely a lot more snow than when I went to bed last night. My truck is covered again... They say we should expect another 7-9 inches so all I can say is I hope d/h doesn't plan on coming back from Canada today ! He was treated to a nice dinner last night at his sister's house and I know he is enjoying his time with his family. So if he wants to stay all week, that is fine with me.

Speaking of Canada, all of the reports on my Mother in Law I have gotten have been pretty positive. The Doctor is working hard to try to find the cause of her heart attack and try to keep it from re-occurring. It is looking like she will be heading to London, Ontario in the near future to visit the cath lab. Which is not going to be a fun experience but I am sure that will help provide some additional clues and perhaps an opportunity to open up any narrow or blocked arteries. So we're all just sitting tight waiting to hear. I do so hope they get her all squared away. You guys are going to think I am crazy for saying this, but she has a very nice cruise booked at the end of the month and I really don't want her to miss it. She's really been looking forward to it and when her time does come, I want her to have done everything on her bucket list. When she was given her terminal cancer diagnosis years ago, I was glad she didn't simply accept what the Doctors told her and that she has actually "lived" during this time, as opposed to following the Doctor's instructions to go home and get things in order and prepare to die. It is a good lesson I hope I never forget.
Well I made it to the Scuba Place yesterday, what I thought was going to be a 20-30 minute stop ended up taking a lot longer. But I have really enjoyed my online class and I am anxious to dive in to (literally) the confined water portion of it. They will be having that part at the Aquatic Center over by University of Illinois. It is a very nice facility. My dive skin should be here in the next few days so hopefully I won't freeze while I am in the water.

Not much else is happening here. We're just waiting on the white stuff and then the temps will plummet near zero and the winds to kick up near 30 mph. So I guess I can take this opportunity to get caught up on laundry woohoo .

Hope you all have a great day!

And a snowy good morning to you Sue, R/Donna, Donna and B/W. Although while we have gray skies again today, there is pretty much just rain and maybe a little snow forecast from the storm that is or shortly will be, whacking you guys. I couldn't believe it. Yesterday there was this big shiny disk in the sky radiating heat and light. I faintly remember something such as that in my childhood but I can't remember when last I saw it.

Hope you'uns and all our other CruiseMates have a grand day whether they be snowed in or otherwise. Kuki's cheerful Arizona weather reports are wearing a tad thin. I keep telling myself I wouldn't want to live in the desert six months out of the year..................I lie a lot, too.

Prayers go out to all of those on our list along with a prayer for blessings on all and we do so appreciate yours in return.

Have a great "It's Only Four Days To The Weekend!" day!

Todd

Good Morning cruisemates (and Todd)! As I sit here on my normal perch on the patio sipping my coffee, at 8:15 temps are only in the 50s F But we are heading closer to 70.... with no sign of snow

There's already golfers going by, so it there must be some sort of tournament here today. We're on the 15 th hole, so normally don't start seeing golfers until 9:30 or so.

In honor of NOLA's Super Bowl win, last night we went out to dinner with friends at N'awlins style restaurant called PappaDeaux, and had a nice dinner, with lots of laughs.

Golf on tap for today. Who'd have guessed that?

Default A White Tuesday . . . Again

Good morning from Southern California. Seems like a long time since I've posted that sentence. On the topic of rain, we're getting ready for some more. Not as bad as before, though. I'll take it over snow, that's for sure.

On the topic of ailing, we're still sick! Keith seems to be well on the way to recovery. I am still well under the sinus infection umbrella. Boy, it can go away NOW!

The laundry gets done between trips to the Kleenex box. Then there's that darned ironing. Anyboody want to come out and help?

I hope people looked at Keith's Hawaii pics.

Have a good day, all.

Judy

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh Kuki
I love Pappadeax's too--------and was there just about a week and a half ago in AZ-------I just wish we had them in CA----my daughter and son in law just have to rub it in when they go there----I was the one who turned them on to it----thanks to my first experiance in TX--with a great group of cruise friends-----gosh there are some really good places to eat in AZ---you should try the White Chocolate Grill-------and if you like sports Padre Murphys just to name a few----------------
ok so its chilly out here in my part of CA--and it looks like some rain in our future--but we need it------
Trying to get my next few cruises lined up-----and of course I plan to add one for my birthday present to myself---hahahaha

cheers all -take care and stay safe--continued thoughts and prayers going out to all.

April

Judy,

Was enchanted by Keith's pics. The shot of the two of you is wonderful. It's so nice to put a face to those with whom you've traded "posts" for so long.

Hawaii is also on my bucket list but I'm sure the bucket will be emptied long before I get there!

Todd
