I don't normally like the all star shows. Much less surprises. People will expect Russell to look for and found the hidden idols. Richard Hatch will be walking around naked. I like when no one knows each other and they have to figure out the other people's true personality and not the face they show. Plus Coach is annoying, I hope he goes first. But he won't he is to easy to work over. So much ego. People with big egos are easy to control just appeal to the ego. Don't get me wrong I will still watch it.

I did not watch tonights show yet .I can't stand Russell from the season that just ended .He was so malicious and said so many disgusting things about the other people on the show.
What happened to Ethan? They even did an interview with him and he said that this time he won't be fighting for the million dollars, he'll be fighting for his life...(he has cancer, which is in remission). I was a little disappointed in the "cast". I thought they could have found better villians. a couple of the girls i don't even recognize.
Hez, I was curious about Ethan, too, so I googled it.
His cancer returned last fall and he had chemotherapy over the summer, followed by 5 weeks of radiation. At the end of that, the PET scan showed he was cancer free. Because his cancer has proven to be "resurgent," before Christmas, he checked into the hospital for a stem-cell transplant. He checked out of the hospital on Jan 10.
My prayers go out to him, as he battles this terrible disease.

The others don't know who Russell is. This was taped right after Samoa before the reveal of who had won that season. Russell mistakenly thought he had won! Kind of explains his smugness. The others hadn't seen him on the show because it hadn't aired yet, so they don't know what a saboteur he is, or about him finding the idols with no clues. I've read some things that suggest he probably doesn't make it to the end of this season - which is why he was especially ticked he didn't win last season! makes me laugh at his "I'm the best that ever played this game" rant.
I always wonder how anyone can call someone a "Hero" or "Villain" in a game where the only way to win is to lie to and betray other players. EVERYONE who has won has done it.
Now if someone intentionally physically injured someone then that would be another story.

this is by far the best all star season ever and may surpass the last season as the most watched
wow.. right out of the gate they were playing hard and Sugar, cracked me up. Steph is still all game and she is impressive.... even the little skinny chick was playing to win that first challenge... and Tyler... he will probably get underwear modeling jobs out of this gig...
and some interesting side stories to certainly develop, i.e. the self-appointed Dragon Slayer and ManEater Manthey..... match made in heaven

The Amazing Race is my favorite reality show . A few years ago I happened to be posting on a site and saw that one of the people who also posted had his photo. I recognized him as a participant from the Amazing Race .In fact he and his wife also appeared on the allstar show .I e-mailed him and much to my surprise received a response and found that we shared a lot in common .We've maintained an e-mail relationship over the years . Conversely I tried to e-mail a Big Brother contestant who also posted on the site and never received a reply.
They are still on Samoa and basically in the same locations as the previous season.
The All-Star show was too close to the close to the end of the previous season to move the location.
Did anyone else find it strange that in last season there was no "car" challenge and no family members were flown in. I wonder if the lower ratings meant a budget cut.

I would guess that the economy did away with the car challenge.... sure they didn't miss it because of the car winner usually never won the game
and family members... I think I recall reading that it wasn't safe to fly them in at the time... and also recall that a Survivor employee was injured or killed during filming but hey my memory sux so don't quote me

Yes Amber has changed Rob... and I loved that when they all said Amber would kill him for climbing that tree he got down on the ground lol...
hope Rob doesn't get a medical leave from the game... hope its hype
