Default Get Up and Go Friday

And a good Get Up and Go Friday to all of my Cruisemates.

It seems that there is still a lot of illness out there, Judy, R/Donna and Beenie Weenie to name just three who are suffering. I too have had my share of "sniffles" this winter and I shall also be glad when Spring arrives.

I know B/W that you'll be glad when D/S get's beyond the sitz bath in the sink stage!

After spending more than the usual amount of time in the house this week, probably because our "get up and go done got up and went" more than anything else, we're getting out early, Fran getting her hair done and yours' truly getting his ears lowered. Then it's off for some shopping including laying in a supply of chips to get me through the two Daytona races this weekend. I already have plenty of Sam Adams' Octoberfest with which to wash them down.

Speaking of chips, when we were over at Biltmore in Asheville a couple of months ago, I purchased a phenomenal dip mix and only need to mix it with sour cream and mayonnaise. Of course since it was purchased at Biltmore it cost an arm and a leg but it was worth the splurge because as Mr. Food says, "Ohhhhh it so goooood."

Make it a good one everybody and prayers continue for those on the list accompanied by the request for Blessings upon all.

Todd

Good morning Todd and those who follow. We have NO snow falling this morning! Temps to reach a high of around 28 today with no snow in the forecast until late Sat. night, then watch out it is showing snow for the following 7 days .
Todd I have all my provisions in and ready for the races. Watched the 2 Duels yesterday...happy with one not so happy with the 2nd. What happened to #14! It should be a good weekend with all the racing, just hope the weather doesn't cause delays. Our local sports announcer commented today that since Sunday is Valentines Day all the NASCAR fans (males) should hopefully have wives who will let them watch the race. Here at our house it is just the opposite, I'm the biggest fan! Sunday is not only Valentines it will be our 40th Wedding Anniiversary and I have asked for nothing other than control of the TV remote for the day! I don't want to be jumping back and forth between other sporting events and miss something at Daytona. OK so I am a little wierd!
Hope everyone has a great day and enjoys the upcoming weekend!

Todd, I know what you mean about your Get up and Go Got up and Went.
My work program is called Jump Up and GO! and every day when I'm done, I feel like my Jump Up and GO Got Up and WENT!
Loving it, but it is exhausting!

Thanks for the good wishes, and a note from Jen asking how's my back.
Actually, it's pretty good this week, and the Aquafit classes really helped.
The "Creeping Crud" is also pretty much gone, so all in all, a much better week.
Today is -1C or 30F, quite lovely for Feb. It's not exactly snowing, but the air is full of white particles, so there may be something on the ground....

Today is the opening of the Olympics in Vancouver BC and I know hubby will be glued to the TV for the next 2 weeks. I plan to watch the opening ceremonies tonight, and maybe the ice dancing, but that's about it.

It's Friday, and I have a half day today, so like Todd and Fran, I'm going to "have my ears lowered", then on to work later. Have a good one!

Good morning, mates!

I've about caught up with my got up and go, thankfully. Not quite 100%, but I feel better today, than I have in over a week. Unfortunately, the creeping crud has decided to creep through DH, on the way out of the house. Yep, I shared.

The rain has moved out and left cold damp weather, with a high in the high 40s, with windchill in the 30s. I know that is warm, in comparison to my most of you, but for us it's down right COLD! I have to get out to run a few errands. No slick roads for us, though!

I hope those feeling under the weather are on the mend! Have a good day!

Good Morning CruiseMates!

Todd, you are so funny! I am happy to report that D/S will be out of the sink and into a real tub after Tuesday when he gets his stitches out. He's not a big fan of the sink spritz because he gets cold so easy sitting in there, but a Mom's gotta do, what a Mom's gotta do, to keep the stink at bay. I have told the Doctor and the Nurse that he will be heavily drugged when I bring him to get his stitches out, because last time he turned from the bravest boy in the world, to a whimpering little girl, during what was not an awfully painful experience. He got himself so worked up into a frenzy, the nurse had sweat pouring off of her just from sheer anxiety. They are both relieved to hear he will be loopy when I bring him in .

Well d/h got home last night about 6:30. We enjoyed a nice steak dinner and sent the kids off to bed about 9:00. We had fun just being together after not seeing each other since Monday. I told him not to worry about getting me anything for Valentines Day, since I have been busy buying stuff from him to me anyway while he was gone . His Mom is doing great. She settled in at home before he left and all is well. They determined that the heart attack caused no damage to her heart, and there are no blockages, there's no blood clot. But her blood is very thick from the Multiple Myeloma, and that she was suffering an infection around her heart and lungs, which resolved itself after a few courses of IV antibiotics and there should be no lasting effects from the experience.

Funny thing happened though, Earlier in the week d/h and Opa stopped by the travel agent to cancel the cruise they had booked. They were to leave at the end of the month, but didn't think Oma would be able to travel. So they notified the agent and all was well. They of course had insurance and everything was covered. So then yesterday morning before they released Oma from the hospital, the Doctors came in, pronounced her "cured" and told her she was free to do anything she would have done before the heart attack and that she was free to travel. So then Opa and d/h were dispatched back to the Travel Agent to see what was involved in re-booking said cruise, hoping the category they wanted was still available and the wonderful pricing had not gone up. Well they laughingly asked the agent, if there was any way they could cancel their cancellation. She was a little embarrassed when she admitted that she had been too busy to get around to canceling their cruise yet and so nothing had been done yet. Oh that made them sooooo happy! So all is well up north.

Everything outside this morning is crystallized and coated in ice or snow. I am not sure what happened weatherwise while was sleeping but it is kind of pretty. Its certainly cold enough at 2 degrees. I am hopeful that we don't get anymore snow as we have a 30% chance later today. We have plenty thanks!

Well I need to go get myself moving and do something productive today. I hope all is well with you fine folks.

Good Morning cruisemates!

I'm not even going to tell you what I'm doing, or what I'm going to be doing later, or what a gorgeous day it's going to be here

I've heard some easterners have put a hit out on me.

Default Get up and Go Friday

Well, I'm thinking about my get up and go, too. I don't know where it went, but I sure wish it would come back!

I enjoyed looking at the Norstrom spring catalog yesterday. It was aimed at 20-somethings, but the colors were lovely. Spring is a long way off, I'm afraid.

Nothing much happening here. Still hacking away. Some developer wants to buy the land around the old Hollywood sign and put up expensive mansions. People are having a fit and trying to collect $12 million by April. They might do it, too, since two companies have already donated a mil each. If they get any leftovers, I sure could use it!

I hope Mike nad Betty are feeling better today.

Have a good day, all.

Judy
