Default time to face a new thursday!

Good morning cruisemates.

We are having a few days of clear weather here in Connecticut, and hopefully spring will come soon.

It would be nicer to have the weather that Kuki is having.

Whatever weather conditions you are facing, I wish you all a pleasant day.

Morning Manuel and others to follow.
For the first time this week we do NOT have snow, although flurries and/or rain are in the forecast. It's presently 0C so it could go either way...

Yesterday was a nice relaxing day at home watching the snow fall. I think we got about 15 cms. The roads are well cleared here so we went out to our regular Trivia night in town last night, and despite the small turnout it was a blast and a barrel of laughs!

Today is Aquafitness and then work for me, including a lunchtime meeting.
Busy busy busy, but busy is better than bored!

Have a good one!

Good Morning Mates,
Overcast - a fine flaked snow is falling. Which is rare this winter - I have mostly bare ground at my northern Vermont home. So odd this winter.
The snow today is only supposed to be a dusting -so we shall see.

I have been inordinately busy as of late. Had a dinner I catered at church last week. My Bible Study is winding down, so it has taken extra time to prepare to get everything in by next Wed. Also had extra Doc. apptmts between my eye dilemma - which is finally back to normal, and my P.T. appts. which in the long run will be good, but rather discouraging because each week I am hearing words that I do not want to hear. We shall see I guess, where it all ends or if it even ends.

So glad to read Todd's post yesterday - and BW that son is also progressing. I think of you all often.

I can't believe that I sail in just a few days. Why am I not excited? I want to be, but I have something hovering over me, that isn't allowing it. Hopefully I can get some things done, and make more preparation, and the verve will start permeating my being. I certainly hope so.

Well gotta get busy. Lots to do today - I have to settle my trip to Florida in April. Go visit my daughter, but mostly because an older lady in my church has a daughter and family that also live in Orlando, and this woman's granddaughter has had a baby. She wants to go see the baby of course, but doesn't want to fly alone - so I will transport her there and back. I wasn't really prepared for this trip - but I can't say no - I know how badly I would want to meet a new baby, so I put myself in her shoes.

My very best to you all. The wind is pickin g up - I will double check all my birdfeeders I guess. I want none of my birdies or squirrels to me hungary.

Good Morning Manuel, R/Donna, Jen and all of our our soon to be awake CruiseMates.

Of all those who "need a break today" Jen, you're crowding the top of the list. You so deserve the relaxation of a cruise. Now get out there girl, unwind and just have an absolutely wonderful time.

It's a crisp Thursday morning (27 F) with a dusting of snow once again and flurries floating from the skies.

Off to see our personal physician this morning and receive my monthly admonishment about my weight being too high and my glucose probably stratospheric.

While in Mike M's case its his brain that goes on vacation, in mine it's my heart (as well all of you know, my brain ain't just on vacation, it's permanently retired ). So tomorrow it's off to see my Cardiologist to have my heart rate raised from 60 back up to 80 in the hopes that adjustment might provide some relief. To be truthful, it has become somewhat of an effort even to get up out of a chair and I find it truly embarrassing to even go shopping as here is this "substantial" 6'4" poor excuse for an American male that has to hang onto the basket and who is only able to walk about 20 feet before stopping to rest. Presently, I now often just remain in the car while Fran makes our own stimulus contributions to support our economy.

Hopefully, we'll get this problem if not fully at least substantially corrected in the near future.

Still praying for all those on the prayer list and asking for Blessings on all of my CruiseMates.

Todd

I do believe I will join this group this morning. We were only suppose to get flurries last night but we got more than that. Still, we've been very lucky this winter in that we haven't had piles of snow. As DH can't shovel any more, if one of our neighbours don't do it, I have to so I'm glad not to have too much. Mind you, we have great neighbours so I don't have to shovel very much.

I'm looking forward to my retirement in just a few short weeks now. I don't know what I'm going to do with myself at 5AM though.

Good Morning everyone!

The sun is shining, actually heard a bird singing yesterday! wow, and then I hear the forecast for tomorrow- it's not pretty!! and of course it's the weekend - so I'll be stuck in the house again - but maybe this time I'll actually get some work done!

I was going to chat about my problems, but after reading what everyone is going thru - mine are so minor there's nothing to talk about!

prayers for everyone and have the best day possible!!

Good Morning cruisemates! It's tough to face another day in the mid 70s in Arizona

This snowbird life really is quite the bonus. Everyone's been staying relatively healthy so things are good.

Have lots of friends visiting the area this week and next so we're on the go. Golf with friends again for me, and Mrs. Kuki will be out running with friends as well.

Did have our dryer quit working last night, so have to get ahold of the Home Warranty folks to send some one out for repairs. If we don't get someone out quickly I'll just have to blow on the wet clothes.

Default Time to Face a New Thursday

A late good morning to all of you. A little chillier here on its way to rain but a beautiful day, anyway. Still have this darned cough that keeps us awake in the wee hours. Evil tasting potion didn't do much except make me sleep late.

Not much on my agenda . . . just some errands and watching figure skating tonight.

Have a good day!

Judy

Good Morning CruiseMates!

Welcome aboard the Morning Thread Felix! Every time I see your screen name Felix the Cat it reminds me of an old friend whose Mother was a starlet in New York, she sang alongside Doris Day, Jerry Vale, and Tony Bennett and ended up singing the theme song to the Felix the Cat Cartoon. She is a very neat lady, thanks for reminding me of her.

Well I am later than usual posting today. I didn't get home from Indy until about 11:30 this morning. I did not sleep well at all during d/d's sleep study, neither did she actually, when she has trouble sleeping that's very unusual. I hope she slept enough for them to get the info they needed. They released us about 5:30 a.m. so we headed over to the hotel, D/H ended up heading to work and we tried to get a little more sleep. About 9 we got up and had breakfast and eventually headed home. I may make a mandatory nap time for us all later this afternoon.

Well I hope you all have great day! Good Night!

Good afternoon, from in the upper forties, Virginia Beach. Yes it is nice to not face snow. This morning I did my usual workout at the gym and just got back from having lunch with a girlfriend. I can't wait for spring! Make it a great day, fellow cruisemates!

Good afternoon everyone!

I haven't been feeling the greatest for the last few days but today I'm doing good so it was time to take care of some business. Betty and I have been running around the county picking up stuff I need for my upcoming fishing trip and a quick trip to the bank to visit the last of my money.

I do have some good news: I'm cruising on May 3rd. Some good friends of mine booked a seven day cruise on Century for that day and asked if I wanted to join them. Betty isn't able to come but she gave me her blessing to go without her. Our friends can babysit me. I called Nancy and booked a balcony cabin "just for me". I won't know what to do with a whole cabin to myself. Now I'll experience cruising as a single.

Todd: 60 is pretty low for a 6'4" guy, especially if you have bradycardia. Turning it up might help.

Kuki: You know there was an "ancient" method of drying clothes that was called a "clothes line". Just tie a rope between two cactus and throw the clothes over it. With that Arizona weather they should be dry in no time. The clothes smell great and you won't pass out from blowing.

Take care,
Mike

Hey Mike, we're cruising on May 3rd too, but not on the Century.
Maybe we'll wave to each other out in the Caribbean somewhere!
