Morning Mates, from a dull, gray, slightly raining Pictou County.
Showers and/or flurries are in the forecast today, currently sitting at 1C or 33F. Not bad for February!
This month is going so fast! We had a lunchtime meeting yesterday to start planning for March Break (15-19) and I can't believe how it has snuck up so fast!
Today will be a full day, classes, another lunchtime meeting, and I'm invited to an afternoon Tea on the way home at 4:30. I am going to be tired tonight, but that's OK, I will just settle in and watch the Olympics.
Wishing you all a Fine Friday, and prayers going out to those who need them....
Good morning to you RollerDonna as well as everyone in Pictou County and all of our fellow CruiseMates.
It's currently 29 in upper East Tennessee and it's shaping up to be a sunny day with a high somewhere in the forties.
Am sitting here with my new HP Photosmart Premium AIO sitting in front of me. Hooked it up yesterday afternoon. The thing holds both regular and extra capacity cartridges (a total of five) so I got a complete set of them (which in and of themselves would cost $110) at the same time. That would have turned out had there not have been a sale, a total of $310 tax included. I ended up paying for the whole shebang, sixteen cents less than just the retail price of the printer....tax included! I'm proud of myself as I don't get such marvelous deals but once in a blue moon. Even Fran who would usually say something along the lines of, "Now that you've bought a new printer, just don't expect to eat for the next three or four weeks!" ended up saying, "Alright, you can start eating again after three days."
Now it's time to get ready to run up the road to Johnson City and have my heart accelerated to around 80 mph.....or is that 80 bpm.
Prayers continue along with multitudinous Blessings. Hope all 'o you'uns have a fantastic get-away-day!
Todd, it's good to see how much the latest good news has lightened your load, and you have that twinkle back in your eye. So you go get your heart boosted and I expect we'll be hearing some not too distant plans for a trip to the Cleveland Clinic soon <oh yes I can be a bit of a nagging pain in the tushie>.
Oh I have to tell you guys I got an almost full night's sleep and I feel almost human again. Wow that makes a big difference! Yesterday when we got home I took d/d and gave her a nice warm bubble bath to get all of the sticky patches out of her hair and off her body from the sleep study. About 3 or 4 p.m. she snuck off and climbed into my bed and fell fast asleep. I think she was as wiped out as I was. She woke up around 7 when d/h got home, and went back to bed at 9 p.m. and is still sawing logs now as we approach 9 a.m.
I am happy that the sun is shining again today, but know that it won't last. Between tomorrow and Monday we could get as much as 10 more inches of snow. Ugh! I am going to highly annoyed if they cancel my scuba class Sunday night because of the weather. I am really enjoying it so far.
I can't remember a snowier winter in a long time, I just wish that d/s could get out in it and enjoy it. I am so glad we had such a great time tubing and sledding before his surgery.
I looked out the kitchen window and from all the tracks in the yard it looks like the deer were out under under my oak tree foraging for acorns. Once in a while I will wake up in the middle of the night to find a dozen or two deer out there just a few feet from the house. It's kind of neat to live out in the country...that is until you get a visit from a racoon in your trash can who pops his head up and scares you to death or a skunk seeking refuge from a storm on your front porch and you have an appointment to go to in a hurry .
Oh you guys I cannot wait for spring and summer. I am so ready to set up the pool and enjoy the warm weather and my patio. Plants flowers and watch them bloom... OMG is it ever coming
Well I hope you all have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend. Prayers going up for all of you in need!
good morning from New Orleans..it's starting to quiet down post Mardi Gras and Saints celebration
Todd...when you are on the treadmill just think about when you were 31 and a judge in the Miss Bikini Tropical Tan contest in Hawaii..then envision your wife showing up at the contest to find out why you didn't show up for the Pearl Harbor Tour..that should speed up your heartbeat ::
Good Morning cruisemates! A tad cooler while sitting on my patio perch this morning, but later in the day we're heading to the 70s once again.
Today's plans are a bit like the previous days this week. Golfing with buddies later this morning, then the plan is for dinner at the White Chocolate Grille tonight. Great name for a restaurant I think... and I don't think they even serve White Chocolate.
Now only 1 week until Mrs. Kuki goes home. My mother heads back Mar. 11, and I'll be into my last month here. I have a little diversionary side trip Mar. 14 to Miami for SeaTrade, the largest cruise convention in the world.
We are having a fairly decent day, with dim sunshine.
The weekend is getting pretty close, so I want you all to have a great one.
TM

Good morning, everybody, from a cold and overcast Southern California. Getting ready to rain, and that's just fine.
I am very pleased with the way the figure skating battle came out. Now on to the ladies' contest.
Keith plans to go to the gym, and I have some cleaning to do. Looks like a good afternoon to stay in and prepare beef stew for dinner. This recipe needs to be watched over, so I will watch the rain along with my cookin'.
