Has anyone seen a SLOP JAR for sale lately?

For those that not remember a slop jar is a container that you place by your bed at night to relieve yourself. Why because it was too far and too cold to go out to the outside privey.

I remember it because we lived way out and had no indoor plumbing. Having the jar made it easy and convient.

Ray, I still see the slop jars in antique shops, occasionally.

I remember the vegetable man coming down the street, everyday. We lived in Houston, and but we always had fresh vegetables for dinner.

Anyone remember Octagon soap? My grandmother believed it would cure anything! I found a bar, when cleaning her house, and brought it home. I still have it!

They may not have the exact product but they have items close... I was looking for Fels Naptha which they have but went into an old fashioned hardware store and the owner pointed them out..I bought two bars.. Sold our LPs years ago and they were being sent to Europe.. Also,the album covers are very collectible. Have to laugh when I open a cooking magazine and they are asking what something is.. and I have whatever it is in my drawer...but I guess after 54 years of cooking you collect all sorts of stuff..
