There have been a number of fond memories of alternative dining.
The overall best was on Millennium, in the Olympic Restaurant. The butterfly service was wonderful but the lobster and fillet were the highlight and one that I will always remember.
In Cagney's on Jade and Jewel. I would love to have a rack of lamb and some clam chowder right now. On Jade I ordered the clam chowder for my appetizer and my salad.
Eating sushi on the Sky and the Jade until I thought my stomach would blow. On the Sky I was with my brother and we still talk about it. Especially when we go out for a $150 sushi dinner.
Watching my Son-in-law devour the "Porterhouse for Two" in David's Supper Club and loving every bite.
The "best" steak I've ever had was on the Ocean Princess and Betty still talks about her mushroom soup.
There have been a couple of bad memories.
My last cruise on Radiance. The gelatinous and cold center of my halibut and the scallops that tasted like a kipper snack that were in Betty's pasta still haunt my dreams.
The "Thing on a stick" from the Spanish restaurant on Jade looked more like burnt offerings impaled on a cast iron skewer than an entrée. It tasted like it too.
The good thing is that there are far more good memories than bad.
Take care,
Mike
