Default Tuesday Toodles!

Hi Kids,
Just couldn't sleep, so here I am, at the computer, & watching Diners Drive Ins & Dives!

Looks like the rest of this week will be a bummer, weather wise, and just my wishing for a hot humid sunny day, is not in the cards I could use a dose of summertime...

Maybe if I stay up for a bit longer, I can catch the video in Dubai, of Costa's new ship, but aiming for 3:am, but, I can bet is not in the cards...

Make it a good one kids....

Toodles to you too, Trip and all to follow. Lots to do today. I had my dream job land in my lap recently and I have been training for it. Working at home quoting cruises for potential clients. Eventually I will move on to sales. Exciting times for this lady. Have a great day all.

Toodles for Tuesday Trip and all to follow,
That's certainly a different morning greeting!

It's DULL and gray here for a change, "flurries" in the forecast and +1 degree at the moment (33F). I thought I heard something about 30 cms of snow for Thurs. but that may have been P.E.I. I will have to check....

Just another work day for me, with swimming tacked on before I even start.
Then, the countdown is on for LOST tonight...13 hours and 38 minutes.......

donna

p.s Congratulations to the Canadian Ice Dance team for their Gold Medal win last night!!

Good morning Trip, Laura and all who follow.

The weather was supposed to be "fershtunken" all week here but they've modified the forecast for some sun on and off. Right now it's a mild 45 F here in upper East Tennessee. While not a lot of precipitation is forecast, I'd best enjoy today's temps as they're due to make and about face this evening.

I'm sure Trip by now has gone back to complete "her long winter's nap." Congratulations on your new job, Laura! It most certainly does sound like a winner!

Are you a member of the Polar Bear club, RollerDonna, or are you swimming inside today?

I was relating a story on an adjoining thread concerning theft. I said it occurred about twenty years ago. As I was sitting here starting to answer this thread, it dawned on me that the incident had to have happened about thirty years ago as I have already been retired fourteen years! I lost over a complete decade! I mean I can see losing a year or so along the way, but a decade ? Maybe it's time for me to fold my tent and go quietly along to the "home."

Hope all have a delightful Tuesday (I know, it's not one of those days in the week one usually finds "delightful" but heck, it can happen, you know and so I hope it happens to you!).

Prayers and Blessings continue.

Todd

Good morning from the great state of Texas where it is snowing........

It is our first for the year, because we missed out on the Dallas snow. It is beautiful outside.

I am sure our city crew will be busy today. Remember no snow equipment for us. It is a white GMC truck, with someone standing on the back throwing kitty litter. Think I am kidding? It will surely be on the news.

Jim was so excited before he left for work. He grew up in Ohio, and Idaho, so this seems like home to him. The weather man says up to 7 inches for us.

Jim reminded me about having logs for the fireplace. He says it will be wet, heavy snow, so the power lines will probably go down. What the heck is wet snow? Think about how silly that sounds to a southern girl.

Well I had better go. I have missed posting. I will be back full time after next week. Boy have a got a lot to tell you. Pray for us this coming week. We need it.

Love,

Luanne

Good Morning CruiseMates!
Well what can I say...it's snowing again. I have to give winter credit it isn't a quitter. The temps got warm enough last night I could go out and enjoy a soak in the hot tub.

D/H was supposed to go get an alignment on his car yesterday across the state line in Illinois after he left work, but he didn't get there in time, so he left early this morning and they should be starting anytime now... not sure why he left so early though. Maybe he forgot there's an hour time difference between Illinois and Indiana or maybe he just had top secret stuff to do ...lol

Well today will probably involve a trip to the post office as I have some stuff to ship out. D/s sure can make a huge mess for a kid who can't get around very well. In a while I will once more attack the mountain of stuff he has created in the living room. He has a shelf in his closet I think that might hold all this stuff.

Well there's not much else to do aside from the boring and mundane stuff. Wish I had more exciting stuff to report.

Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning!

Trip, I'm sorry you had such a restless night. I've had about a month of restless sleep, first with my couging, and now with DH's coughing! We will be off to the doctor's office in a little while. The OTC meds just aren't working for DH. We need stronger drugs!

Laura, congrats! How wonderful for you! Enjoy!

Todd, you're not the only one to lose track of time. It is so elusive! I just got me a white flag, so I can surrender.

Luanne, my prayers continue for you and Jim.

Beenie, you deserve a nice soak in the hot tub!

Well, I think the snow, that Luanne is getting, will stay to the north of us. We will just get the rain and the cold.

Everyone have a great day!

Good Morning cruisemates! The air is a bit nippy this morning on the patio perch. But it appears the rain has moved on and we'll see some steady warming through the day and reach the mid to high 60s.

Heard on the news yesterday, that we've had more rain so far in 2010, than Pheonix had all of last year.

Fired up the grill last night to once again share the world's best hot dogs with some visiting friends (Vienna Beef out of Chicago...but has to be the ones in casings) . You forget how much better grilled foods taste when done over charcoal. YUMMY.

Have a nephew in, plus last night's dinner guests leave tomorrow.. so we're getting in their last golf game today.

There's a hint that our first snowbird season is winding down, as Mrs. Kuki begins to prepare to head home Friday.

Late good morning from Ohio where it is cloudy, damp and getting cooler. We had 2 nice days were the sun visited even though briefly. Gave us a false hope that spring was coming. I am sitting in the waiting room at the Dentist while my mother has some work done. Love this netbook for times like this. It beats reading outdated magazines.
Trip sorry you were having problems with the sandman last night. Hope you did manage to get some beauty sleep.
BW- please don't send that snow our way! The weather forecast is showing it to be heading our way Wed. and haning around for about a week
LuAnne - I can only imagine what a truck full of kitty litter looks like! If Jim is missing snow in Ohio just come visit us we seem to have more than we want.
Prayers continue for all our mates in need.
Everyone have a good day.

Default Tuesday Toodles

Good morning from sunny Southern California. Oodles of toodles to you, Trip!

I have a vision of a while truck spreading kitty litter . . . pretty funny!

Did anybody out there watch ice dancing last night on the Olympics? The Canadians won gold, and they definitely should have! They were absolutely GORGEOUS! So glad they won.

I think we'll go out and enjoy the nice weather before the next rain comes in. Have a good day, people.

Judy

Toodles to my fellow cruisemates from chilly, Virginia Beach. After a shortened workout at the gym, I went to the dentist for my annual six month check up. Boy can the tarter come on fast on your teeth! Congratulations to our fellow Canadians for garnering the gold medal in the ice dancing competition; it makes the olympics more fun to watch to see many different countries get medals. May this Tuesday be a great one for all of my fellow cruisemates!

Have you gone to New York Bagel and Bialy yet? OMG I can still taste those Bialy's even though the first time I had one was in the mid 80's. The beauty is that I went back when I was visiting a couple of years ago and they tasted exactly the same. 10320 North Scottsdale Road. Check it out if you haven't been there yet, and go in early in the day when they are fresh. It's kind of tucked away in the back.

Good afternoon
Wishing everyone well and continued thoughts and prayers going out to all.
Well its sort of raining out here-- in my part of CA we need it so no worries. Hopefully it wont be raining tomorrow since my husband shed is supposed to be built--as they say in one day--but they do allow for rain---no hurries on this--since it will me more work for my husband when it's done-----and more room in our garage ---hahaha
Cheers
April
