It'w Wednesday, St. Patrick's Day and you best be wearin' the Green!
Ah, tis a wonderful day it's goin' to be, too! By gosh and begorrah there's goin to be some to be tippin' of some good Irish Ale before sittin' down to that good 'ol Irish Feast of Corned Beef and Cabbage.
One place it's party city is of course New York City. If you've been known to tip a pint every now and again, you owe it to your self to go to Manhattan at least once on St. Patrick's Day.
With the exception of an area out on the plains around Overland Park, KS and Topeka, it appears that this morning's rainy day is commencing to be be in the South East stretching currently from around the panhandle of Florida up North and East to Southern Georgia and South Carolina. At least that's what the radar shows currently. Where it's all going to go or even "fill in" is anyone's guess and on St. Paddy's Day, whose even gonna' care?
For us it's up to Johnson City to get a wedding gift for a wonderful neighbor's son and his intended. Then it will be a late lunch. For that reason we're putting off our own "Irish din-din" until Sunday. While it's supposed to be a beautiful day for the NASCAR Nationwide series race at Bristol on Saturday, it appears that they may have to run the Cup race on Monday. At least I don't have to worry anymore about taking a "vacation day" to watch it if it should be postponed. All that ended fourteen years ago.
Hope this opening post finds all the rest of our "Morning Show" stars as well as all of our other CruiseMates in fine fetal and ready to do their style of an Irish jig!
Prayers and a request for Blessings on all continue!
Top 'O the Mornin' to ya Todd, and all the CruiseMates to follow!
A very Happy St. Patrick's Day to one and all!
You can bet that I've got my "Green" ready for today, even though my work shirt is black, I will be accessorizing with green!
Today is Sports & Games in the morning (with green leis as prizes) and ice skating in the afternoon (with green leis to help me find them on the crowded rink). With all the kids out on March Break, the public skating and pools are full!
Tonight, we do our regular Wed. nite Trivia Nite at the pub, but this week, in addition to Trivia, there will be live Irish music - can't wait for that!
We'll also celebrate with that Irish dinner I never made on Sunday, but had on Monday instead, and there's enough leftovers so that I don't have to cook tonight!
As for "wearing the green", I have my 1 green shirt that I wear once a year, with a green hat and green leis, I'm all set!
Even Emma and Lucy are ready for St. Patrick's Day!
Top of the mornin' to ye! Tis most certainly a great day to be Irish. Despite a stray Englishman inserting himself on my father's side and giving me a decidedly English last name, I am mostly Irish.
Should be a beautiful day here in Philly and I am stuck in my cubicle . Marj is already handing out assignments for the weekend . We did get tickets to see the original cast of Jersey Boys perform Four Seasons songs with a full orchestra at one of the casinos in Atlantic City Saturday night.
Hope Everyone Has a Great Day!!!

I had another good day yesterday. I was able to get some many of the things done that I had been putting off.
I also was able to start my workout program. I am not one to work out that is for sure, but this time I am serious about it. Jim and Josh bought me a Wii fit program. It is so cool. It acts as a weight machine, fitness and even center of gravitity. Yeserday I did two sessions of step, and boxing, (seems I have a pretty good right hook) and hula hoop. By last night I was so sore, but it's a good kind of hurt, where you know you have done something good. I am also on a senseable diet, so that the pounds will melt off slowly, and stay off. I do not want to go to Alaska in June, and be mistaken for a whale.
I am also on a mission which shoud begin today, and hopefully not take long to complete. I want Joe's things back from the PD evidence room.
I have had people try to talk me into not trying to get them, but I don't want anything left there. I know they will not be wearable, but I feel this is the last of what needs to be done.
The furniture cleaning guy is also coming this morning. He does a great job cleaning the livingroom furniture, and I have not had it done in over a year.
I hope all of you have a great day. You are all in my prayers each night.
Top of the Morning! Yes, I'm in my green attire - had a few folks here at work laughing - anyone who knows me - knows I'm crazy especially those who have cruised with me - all I can say is - if today were a cruise day for me - my Irish ancestors would be proud!!!
have a great day and enjoy and if drinking any liquid libations please do so responsibly!
in New Orleans, the Sunday before St Patrick Day we have a Mardi Gras style parade where the throws are cabbages and to earn one you have to give a kiss to the rider on the float..if they threw a head of cabbage to the masses, there would be 2nd degree manslaughter charges
Good Afternoon CruiseMates!
I have been battling some ransomware that the leprechauns have turned lose inside my computer. Otherwise I would have posted much sooner.
Just as an FYI ransomware sucks and is a new malware that goes in and changes your browser settings to a proxy server that directs you to a website that will supposedly cure your computer of the affliction that they infected you with (for a price). This specific one is called AntiVirus Soft and basically anytime you attempt to open a file, document or website it tells you it is infected with something and you need to buy a product to clean your computer. It stops you from opening any other program to kill it. So it holds your computer hostage basically. So after several hours of battling it I finally won the war by downloading Hijack This and scanning, then going down through a very long list looking up every suspect item and deleting the bad stuff it put into my system it is finally fixed again. Dirty bastages need to have the you know what knocked out of them.
So here I am, and I have nothing earth shattering to say, aside from Happy Saint Patrick's Day!
Well, Muffy and I went over to the Dog Park today ... and being on the Activities Committee, I did my share and brought a green punch (no booze) while others brought doggie treats and people treats - and all the dogs got green bows on their collars.
Very successful party for the dogs and their parents.
Erin Go Braugh = Ireland forever!!!
