Default Thursday, The Morning After....

Morning Mates,
I have a feeling that there are going to be a lot of people calling in sick this morning in Pictou County. They were all out last night partying hard at the local pub. Remember that old Irish Rover's song "Wasn't That a Party"?

"Could've been the whisky, might've been the gin,
Could've been the 3 or 4 six-packs I don't know
But look at the shape I'm in,
My head is like a football
I think I'm gonna die
Tell me me, oh, me oh my,
Wasn't that a party?"

Who knew that the normally quiet country folk who normally frequent the local pub could be such party-hardy closet Irish wild men and women?
There was not a person in attendance who was not wearing some sort of green paraphenalia, from hats, to glasses, to beads, to wigs, to shooter glasses around their necks.
The funniest of them all was some young punk who came in with a stylized mohawk hairdo, all done up in razor-pointed spikes, and his friends proceeded to cap each and every spike with a tiny green Irish hat - it was hilarious! I kicked myself for forgetting my camera..
Anyway, we went for the usual Wed. nite Trivia, but there was also live (LOUD) Celtic music, then a couple of local rockers took over, and the Trivia guy was all but booed off the stage, and we had to leave because we are (sigh) just getting too old for that loud music...

So, that was my St. Patrick's Day, how was yours?

Good morning Donna and all of those to follow. It was another beautiful day in Texas yesterday.

Now you have that song stuck in my head. I remember that song also the football feeling as well. It sounds like everyone had a great night.

I had another productive day, yesterday. Got much more done to the house, and a workout while doing it. I even got Josh involved.

It is suppose to get cold again later on in the week. That means all my plants have to come back into the house. yuk.

I hope all of you have a good Thursday.

Gorgeous day here today as well!

It's off down to the Registrar's office and get some land tax stuff they've screwed up unscrewed.

Other than that, nothing's on the agenda save I gotta' write my newspaper column.

Hope everyone has a fantastic Thursday!

Prayers and Blessings continue.

Good Morning CruiseMates!!!
Well I am happy to report that my computer is still free of cooties. My Darling daughter who started spewing like Mt. Vesuvius last night, seems to be sufficiently recovered from whatever affliction caused said spewing...

D/H seems to be pretty well recovered from his sickness, but he nearly had a relapse during d/d's spewing episode, so I sent him into another room while I cleaned up messes so I wouldn't have two people to take care of .

The weather is beautiful again once more. Like Luanne though, we are supposed to have a cool down. But let's just hope the cool weather doesn't last long. The kids are already asking me when I am going to put the pool up .

I ordered some elephant ear bulbs that are supposed to arrive today. So perhaps we'll get them into the ground today. I also joined the Arbor Day Foundation and they are supposed to send me 10 little trees to plant. I have just the spot for them.

I am sitting here running a mental inventory of all the stuff I need to do today...and quite frankly there no chance it will all get done today. Looks as though it may take a while.

Well I hope you all have a great day! Take care and enjoy!

It has been a busy day for me already. D/H out the door extra early this morning, then it is school picture day for my grandaughter so I had to become a beautican for her. She looked cute even if I do say so myself, now if it just lasts until they do the pictures! I am now sitting in the waiting room at the dentist. My Mom is having some work done and it will take awhile. This gives me the chance to catch up my mates. I haven't been on here for awhile as I've just had so much going on that finding time for myself has not been possible.
The sun is shinning and due to be in the 60's here with it going up to around 70 by Sat. Then the cool weather reappears for a few days. Just hoping the rain stays away so the rivers have a chance to receed some.
Donna, I can relate to the loud music. I too have been there done that.
Trip, glad you are feeling better hope it continues.
Luanne, sounds like you've been a busy beaver. You can come to my house when you get your's all done. I'm still working on spring cleaning from 2000!
Todd, good luck with the tax thingy. Just take a good screwdriver with you!
Everyone have a great day and enjoy.

Good morning everyone:

Donna: I grew up in a small town and there was more drinking and partying than in the "Big City". Then again that and going bowling were about the only things to do.

It is a beautiful day today. The birds are singing in full voice. Kramer is happy the snow and ice are gone. He isn't slipping and falling and can now, once again, go out into the field and look for pheasants.

The grandkids will be coming tonight and staying for the next five days. My daughter and SIL are going to a veterinarian convention and the kids will be taking care of grandpa.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday.

Take care,

Good morning from Virginia Beach where it is supposed to hit the '70's today! How I love the sunshine! Yesterday I had to take my car in for its 45,000 mile check up. Of course, the milage hit 46,00 before I got around to doing it. The check up bill was lowered than expected so I treated myself to some chinese food for lunch. Today, it was off to the gym, food shopping and banking. Hope everybody has a great day.

I hope everyone is feeling well on this lovely morning. Luanne, down south of you, it will still be nice enough this weekend to leave the plants outside.

Donna, I don't envy you the winter weather you have to suffer through in
the great white/wet north, but I do wish we had we had some places to go like your pub and trivia night.
