From what I'm seeing on TV, parts of New York, Massachussets and all of Rhode Island are experiencing once in one hundred year flooding.
I'd just ask that Trip in Boston, Henry in New York and any of our other beloved Cruisemates in that area to please check in and let us know what your situation is.
I am in Connecticut, and we had some evacuations along the the shore and a couple of bridges washed out, but the rains are ending now.
We have some neighbors with water damage to their houses, but by tomorrow morning we should be in better shape.
Thank you for thinking of us.

Good to hear that you are okay. We were all worried about you.
I was frantic last night about my uncle in Wickford RI. He has an ocean front house there and he lives alone at 93 years of age. He is high and dry thank God!

Thanks so much for your concern. I am on a hill and have no standing water issues, but for many, being hit twice in a couple of weeks, they have lost everything..The Warwick R.I. Mall is under water...so much damage, with more to come once the rivers crest,my prayers go out...xoxox

Norm who lives not far from Trip hasn't signed in yet.. There is one mall in R.I. that is underwater and I must try to find my friend in Tiverton, R.I. three houses up from the water... We are fortunate our house too is up on a tiny hill and we are one of the few in the area without water...so far..Duckboats are being used to ferry people not far from here, roads are closed and some rivers haven't p eaked yet.. The situation for many is dire... Not to mention a dear friend had over $50,000.00 worth of fire/smoke damage when the water entered after 48years her basement and the heater didn't shut off...
Western Mass where i live got spared from the flooding rains, we got a lot of rain and the rivers are high, we have 3 rivers running thru our town so we would have been in trouble had we gotten the predicted amount of rainfall. The sun is out here now, and it is warming up quite nicely, thanks again for thinking of us.
Sorry that I did not see this post till now .Thanks so much for your concern . I posted on another thread re the flooding in my area .Although my house is surrounded on 3 sides by water bodies we were fine .
Have just heard tha President Obama has landed in my city to visit the areas still under water in this area. Unless you have seen the pictures of residents in flooded streets and basements it just to those of us untouched an incredible picture.
Rhode Island. We presently have water gushing out of our house and this is three days after the fact! No laundry, no dishwasher, no showers, National Guard trucks in my "hood". It took me 4 hours to get home Wednesday night because most highways were closed. Thankfully, the sun is shining, things will get better, and my house is not ruined. Some neighbors, not so lucky.

Yes, I would like a new Coach bag, too, but they're not going to land at Bldg. 19. Roads are all still closed over there. Good news. I got a shower today. It's not all bad.
