Tasmanian Devil, Taamania, Australia.
I didn't google...I have been compelled to watch endless episodes of Bindi the Jungle Girl. According to Bindi they are currently endangered due to their susceptability to facial tumors that become cancer. They have recently found one tsrain of the little devils that are genetically resistant to the tumors/cancer and are optimistic they may be able to design a cure to save the breed from extinction.

Couldn't decide whether it was a Tasmanian Devil or a Wombat...

John I looked at some pictures and I hate to admit it, I think you're right. I think it is a wombat...but I will stick with Tasmania as the location. When you answered Wombat, I was expecting to see a picture of my 3rd grade teacher Mrs. Holt.

My first thought was Wombat, because it looks like the one in a children's book I have. But it could also be a Tasmanian Devil, so that could be either Australia or Tasmania.....

Todd go to your room
Tasmania is an Australian Island, so I think we have that covered, but the little beasty does not have the red ears of the Devil.

In that photo I can certainly see the resemblance to Mrs. Holt... perhaps they are related after all.

Thanks so much Lombard for sharing your knowledge and that video.
While I've seen pictures of Tazmanian Devils and knew they were violent critters, I did not know about the screaming.
You know, some might associate such behavior with married life.
