Allow me to join with everyone else in wishing all of our CruiseMate mothers a happy Mother's Day!
As for the two of us, I'm taking Fran out for supper on behalf of our feline children one of whom got to the computer in the middle of the night and made a Mother's Day card for her. It had to have been Oliver Eatyourface because he's the only one who has experience with that program!
Thank you so much Henry. BTW, how are you coming along following your surgery? I know as we get older we bounce back from such things more like a concrete ball, nevertheless, hope your recovery is on schedule and I so hope your back pain (other than, of course, the surgical pain) is gone, if indeed you can yet tell.
Hang in there 'ol pard'ner, you'll be back to tackle football before you know it!
I just proofed my last post and uhhh, that first sentence I'd best try to explain. I wasn't hoping your surgical pain was still with you, it's just that I was trying..........................oh never mind. Instead of my digging the hole even deeper, I hope you understood what I meant.
The incisional pain is very intense .The back pain is not that bad .I'm experiencing numbness in an area of my left leg that I did not have before surgery . My children have been visiting me the past few days .I can sit for 20 minutes then I have to lie down .I find myself instinctively trying to do things that I am not allowed to do.
I had been going out for minimal walks but today there are 50mph wind gusts and I am staying in .
Thanks for asking ,Todd
Henry..try ice packs on your incisions..just remember, that if you have to pick something up, do not bend over (that's what your instincts would tell you to do)..50 MPH winds if they are behind you might work ::
measure your progress in small baby steps, but keep walking everyday..if you don't already have one, purchase an IPOD/MP3 player and program your favorite music that you can walk to
I still have my SONY Walkman also, but it's collecting dust ::
Father's Day is coming up shortly..start dropping hints for a SONY NWZ- E 340, 16GB, holds a couple thousands songs, records videos, plays movies external speakers, FM radio, wi-fi and upscale ear phones..very very important for your recovery and on sale at Wal Mart:o:o:o..very easy to use
