Unfortunately, James is still in the E.R. awaiting his surgery, hopefully tomorrow afternoon. He was bumped for a bed in the ICU and bumped from the surgery roster today, so all in all he is NOT a happy camper!
The good news is, he's not in any pain or discomfort (other than the uncomfortable guerney he's stuck on) and his nurses AND the hospital food have been wonderful! I was there so long today the nurses even offered me a free dinner, and I can attest, it was good!
I'll be back there all day tomorrow, and will keep you posted on his progress...
Donna, how come he is not in a room, in a bed waiting this out? I hope by this time tomorrow, you are both enjoying some hospital food, pretending you are on the lido deck, with foo foo drinks in hand xoxoxo
Trip, with her book & tea!

I will be thinking of you and James and of course say a prayer. Hopefully tomorrow there will be some progress.

Am so glad that James is feeling better today. I echo the others and hope he receives his implant tomorrow. Am glad the staff is so wonderful to the two of you not to mention that the food is even good. Those things certainly make the wait a lot easier.
Do you yet know if it is going to be a Pacemaker, or an Implanted Cardio Defibrillator (ICD).
Please keep us up to date and James and you R/D, remain in our prayers.
The waiting is the hardest part. Nice to hear the food is good. Sounds like a great staff at the hospital. I was very impressed with the nurses that took care of me after my surgery. They did a wonderful job.

Hang in there R.D. Like the others have said, if he was in desperate need, he'd have had the surgery by now. Just look at it this way. That free food isn't all bad! Once again, if we can do anything more than pray, just give us a call!
RD thinking of you and James this morning. Prayers and good wishes on the way.

OMG, I feel like such a DORK! (hits self in head with heel of hand).
I'm so embarassed! I was half way to the hospital this morning when I suddenly realized it was only Wednesday and I had made a complete fool of myself on this morning's thread....
I guess that's what spending too much time sitting in the ER does to you...
Spent the day there again, came home briefly to feed the animals and walk the dog, but have to go back. He STILL has not had his surgery, and has been starving since last night's dinner! You can imagine, he is NOT happy!
Donna, I'm sure nobody around here is thinking of you as a dork. It seems like you have a lot on your mind right now, and getting the day right is the least of your troubles.
I'm so sorry to hear that James is still waiting around for his procedure. I'm keeping you both in my prayers.
