H.A.L. Dumps Park West Gallery's Auction Contract too!
I read today on the Fine Arts Registry website that Holland America Lines was joining others including Royal Carribean Cruise lines, in dumping contracts with Park West Galleries. Let's hope that the two replacement companies getting the H.A.L. contract set a much higher bar in terms of authenticity, forgeries, fraudulent signatures and appraisals, etc.
Otherwise the entire fine arts market will be under great ongoing suspician along with the cruise lines that foster contracts with these so-called "Fine Art" Warehouse outlets.
The bottomline is that people should not buy any of this artwork unless they don't mind that the purchases they make may really be rediculously expensive posters with little or no true appraised value. Don't let free champagne and a lot of on-board hype lead you into poor decision making.
I wonder when NCL and others will follow??? Hmmmm???
