Default Red Lobster Fans

will start feeling the impact of the Gulf situation very soon according to local media outlets...oysters are going to be in very short supply and the price of shrimp will be going up

Mrs. Tennille is a BIG seafood fan, so this is really gonna suck for her. She actually worked for Red Lobster, back in the day.

This is nothing like it sucks for the fishermen, though.

which leads to the logical question..where do the cruiselines purchase most of their seafood from and how will they adjust to the increase cost ?

I would think that seafood could be purchased from the fisheries along the Atlantic coast.

Perhaps fish could be on the endangered species list ? Killing fish for sport is no different and just as barbaric as hunters killing animals for sport

I read on AOL, they have removed oysters from the menu.

No shortage of lobsters or anything else in the sea, here in Pictou County!
The fishing boats are out there every day, and you can buy stuff fresh off the back of a truck at the major intersection in town!
Lobster is so big around here that they are painted on the sidewalk on the waterfront in Pictou, to steer you in the direction of the lobster hatchery, the museum, and the many restaurants in the area.
Trouble is, I don't even like the stuff!

I figured Red Lobster would be out there skimming the oil off the Gulf. I know when I need an influx of grease, Red Lobster is the first place I think about.

Take care,
Mike (bummed about the Gulf)
