Cruise Crossword Puzzle
Custom Crossword Puzzle
Hey all - I created this all just for you. Go to the page and print out the puzzle. (that's the only way it will work unless you want to use a sharpie on your computer monitor - but we don't recommend that). Enjoy! By the way - If you want me to do more of these - send me more clues and as soon as I have enough I will create a new crossword. |
This is great but unfortunately my printer is not working

"Click here to print this page" :(. Any suggestions? |
I guess it is possible you may have a setting NOT to print images when you print web pages. The lines of the boxes are actually images - other wise I really don't know.
You could do a screen shot and print it as a picture. Or you could just take a piece of paper and kind of write the answers down in a rough matrix. Try this - go to the puzzle and hit "ALT+PRTSCRN" and then open Microsoft Paint and do "Edit >> Paste" You will see a new picture appear. So print that. |
I'm game for a crossword puzzle anytime, but all I got on the print page was a list of clues and a scattering of numbers - no lines or boxes, nothing that looks like a crossword...
I guess I could just answer the questions.... donna |
Sorry - but I think I figured out a solution - not sure how long it will last but we'll see.
|
Worked fine for me. Now I just have to figure out the questions. Hint: Don't use a pen. :D
Take care, Mike |
You going to give us the answers? :)
|
I WILL GIVE YOU A REALLY BIG HINT...
Many of the answers are directly from this list: Cruise Glossary; definition of cruising terms, common cruise word definition If you fill these in you should get the rest. Thanks for doing this. Next time I will work on making the clues more "clever" (this was my first stab at this). |
OK, the "crossword configuration finally came through and printed out OK.
Still working on it... Thanks for making it Paul! donna |
Boy, you are a smart cookie! Bruce was able to print it fine,also....It's amazing how one's mind turns to sludge......you know the word, you jusy can't spit it out:) Hope more will come!
|
Oh, Thank you Paul,
Printing out all the words/definitions, should help a lot....Was having lots of problems... |
OK, maybe the problem is that I do a LOT of crossword puzzles. I do the ones in airplane magazines in ink and rarely cannot finish one within a 1/2 hour.
Also - these are all cruise words, but I think missing all the other words makes it harder because you don't have so many letters to help you get new words. Another hint - there are a lot of combined words like "keycard" and "M*****drill" |
Thanks, Paul! I have been out of town, and this is the first chance I have had to print the puzzle. Tomorrow I'll tackleit!
|
I need a few clues....How about the dishwater for one?
|
graywater I thought.....
|
Thanks Trip,

Donna,
Front of the keel. Hmmmmmm..........I betcha' "forefoot" would work. Todd |
bulbousbow
|
I am down to 5 that I can't answer. Affinity sailing, cruise over land, dining choices, ship cafeteria and local port expert. Any ideas?
|
Todd,
Forefoot doesn't fit, needs 10 letters starting with a t.... |
Florida,
Local port expert is pilot... |
Sorry Donna, I tried. :(
Todd |
Thanks Todd,
Nice try...its actually 4 letters, second a l and the 4th an e...?? |
Bulbousbow is the answer: 5: Down is Busboy and works with 3 down.
Take care, Mike |
The only one I have left is 44 across. Exposed to wond. What's "wond"?
Take care, Mike |
Mike,
FOUL! I believe I'm correct in saying that all ships have a forefoot..........all ships don't have bulbuous bows, I even dare say there may be even a few old cruiseships out there that don't as well! ;-) LOL Todd |

You may be correct but bulbousbow and busboy work. :D Then again, I can't think of a cruise ship that doesn't have a bulbous bow. Take care, Mike |
Thanks Mike,
Those did work... As for 44 across, should read exposed to wind....windward |
