in today's (Sunday) online edition of the New York Times , arts section. music subsection, there is a great article about the "Smooth Cruise:, www.smoothjazznewyork.com which is a 2 hour dinner cruise around the Statue of Liberty, every Wednesday night during the summer that features one of the current top smooth jazz artists along with a buffet and sight seeing..it cost about $100 for 2 and is a great "taste" of what a 7 day full charter (expensive) Smooth Jazz cruise would be like
it's a great midweek night date and might lead you to book a music charter that Paul and I might see you on in the future
My high school graduating class' 45th reunion was a 2 1/2 hour jazz cruise with buffet lunch .It cost $60 per person .However ,the music was not live .A few people were interested in siteseeing but the majority of us were conversing the entire time .
It wasn't a jazz cruise Venice, but Fran I and her niece Adelaide went on a Sunday afternoon buffet cruise around Manhattan and NY harbor in the late 80's. The wait staff then provided a floor show that was actually very good!
