April 14, 2003 we docked at Walvis Bay, Namibia. We rented a car to visit the Area. We went to the Sand Dunes and stopped at Dune Seven. It is the tallest being approximately 50m high and if anyone can get to the top in the loose thick sand, there are fantastic birdeye view of the dune fields. Some did. Then we drove many miles out into the desert to see the rare Welwitchia plant. Some grow to more than 1000 years old. We stopped in the town of Swakopmund for lunch before returning to the Norwegian Crown.
