It's a splendid looking Saturday here in Pictou County. The past few days have started out cool. but warmed up considerably and it looks like today will be no exception.
Yesterday I had a good meeting with my new employer and I now have a better sense of what I will be doing come Sept....
Today, I am going to do something totally different....I am going to a local beach to participate in a Hula Hooping class!
A local girl is resurrecting the Hula Hoop craze by offering classes and getting people fit in a fun way. She makes these really huge, decorated hoops, that are very easy to keep going - I know, because I've tried one.
What better fun on a sunny Saturday than to Hula on beautiful beach?!
Todd, Fran, Henry, Beenie, hope you are are feeling better this weekend, and can enjoy yourselves!
That hula hoop thing sounds like fun. I hope that it catches on big again.
We have a beautiful day here weather-wise.
I wish all cruisemates a wonderful weekend.

Good morning Rollerdonna, Manuel and all of our CruiseMates.
We motored into Indianapolis without incident yesterday afternoon. All I can say is that a GPS can be nothing much shorter than a gift from God.
We had dinner last night with my cousin as thunderstorms with terrific sky to ground lightning, tore through northeast Indianapolis. We went to leave and my niece Deanna could only open the driver's side door of her BMW. We think the storm was the culprit. In any event when I said only the driver's side door could be opened that's exactly what I meant. the other three wouldn't open from outside or from inside and no, the windows wouldn't even go down. She could only open the driver's side door with her key (there is not even a key entry to the passenger side). Needless to say, her vehicle had, in essence, transformed to a driver only automobile. So my cousin's 84 year old husband drove us back to our hotel. I thought it would be no problem for Deanna just to follow us simply because you know, at 84, people don't drive uhhhhh......too rapidly? Well I'm glad Deanna's had an EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operation Course) 'cause Dick zipped along the Interstates we used to get to the hotel at 70 mph (speed limit is 65).
Hopefully Deanna can figure out the problem this morning. If not, I'll be renting a car somewhere. The ONLY thing that worries me is how would you get out of that car in an emergency would such a thing occur while driving.
Fran is doing alright taking Tylenol to keep her fever under control (which we remain convinced is only the result of her chemo). My 86 year old cousin, who was an RN (she only retired a couple of years ago and looks as if she's about 60 at most) can't believe Fran had chemo Monday and Tuesday of this week and here she was after already having gone to Cleveland, sitting in their living room last night!
So we'll get over this hurdle which for us at this stage, is merely a slight bump in the road.
Hope everyone has a tremendous weekend. God Bless you all and prayers continue for all of those on the list.
Good afternoon from where it is only 81 degrees in Virginia Beach. I was out there early going garage saling this morning. I picked up some craft paper and books for the grandchildren. I have been going through clothing and will take a break this evening when Rob and I go to a Thai restaurant for dinner. Todd, I am glad that Fran is feeling well enough to enjoy Indianappolis. Make it a great day, fellow cruisemates!
