Default Cruise Memorabillia

Do you save anything from your cruises ,example a pen ,writing paper ,perhaps a ship post card ?

We saved our menus from our 1973 cruise .Every meal was a different theme and the menus were interesting in design .Some looked like newspapers ,others like a ships log .

Henry, we do save a lot of things, mostly for me to do scrapbooking with, but also many to add to our collection for our "cruise Room" aka computer room.
Here are just a few samples of our collection....

RD, great collection, I need to show this to Carole, I think it is important to have things around that trigger pleasant memories. Take care, Mike

I think it was HAL that used to give out menus....we saved them for a while..I won a Cross pen and pencil set on RCI once, it's around somewhere, and I just used a Celebrity and a Carnival pen the other day..that's about the extent of it for me.

I too used to save every piece of paper relating to a specific cruise, all the daily news letters, etc...At one point, I did get rid of them. That reminded me of something the cruise lines used to do way back when.

They used to provide every passenger with a complete manifest of the ship's passengers for your sailing, including the city/state/country of every traveler. I found that to be so interesting, although they no longer do that, was a nice touch. ANyone else remember that practice?

Donna, on my first RCI crusie, back in 92, the computers were down, and they couldn't give us that guest book....I was sooo bummed..shortly thereafter, for security reasons, this was discontinued.

Trip, your "donation" was on the old computer desk which we don't have any more in the new cruise room, but it is still there, hanging on the bulletin board along with all the info for our nest cruise, and my trusty Celcius /Farenheit conversion table!

We allways save a few things from each cruise.

I still have a postcard from our crossing from Lisbon to New York in 1957 on the SS Olympia.
