Default Cruise to Nowhere

Has anyone ever done a "cruise to nowhere "? A cruise that just goes to some point in the ocean and reverses ,usually a 3 day trip .

I have sailed on 2 media cruises to nowhere. One time we left in a blizzard !! When you have no ports, you really utilize the ship in a concentrated way.... you walk around more, and check out things you might miss on a "regular" cruise....we enjoyed it!

We have met many cruisers that never get off the ship. Tha is about the same as a trip to nowhere.

We did a cruise that was supposed to be a 3-nighter to Princess Cays, Bahamas on the Ruby Princess last December. However, the weather did not permit our stop, so the cruise turned out to be a cruise to nowhere since we just sailed around in the ocean and then returned to Ft. Lauderdale.

Did you enjoy it? Or did you miss not visiting the ports?

I missed not visiting that port for sure. We were really looking forward to visiting the Princess private island, because we had never been there and I love private island port stops. However, had the cancelled port been Nassau or another port I had been to mulitple times, I probably wouldn't have missed it.

We did enjoy being on the Ruby Princess for the 3 days. The ship was really great and the staff onboard did a great job with onboard events to make up for missing the port.
