Default Sunday Greetings!

Morning Mates,
It's a dull, cloudy, cool Sunday morning here in Pictou County. "They" promised sunshine for my party, but it doesn't look like they're going to deliver. It's only 13C right now too, or 55F, so it looks like people will be indoors more than outdoors once they get here....
However, the important thing is, that we have new friends who will come and see our new house, and we can be thankful for having them in our lives.

Wishing you all a relaxing Sunday with family and/or friends, and see you on Monday!

donna

Good Morning CruiseMates!
I'm sitting here trying to get motivated to go get ready for church. I am looking forward to the "church" part, it is just the "getting ready" part I am having trouble with. I haven't got a clue what I will wear today. I better go pick something out quickly since I need to be heading out the door in less than an hour.

Today will be the first Sunday with the new projector and laptop in use. I am so hoping that goes without a hitch. I asked the Pastor to do a dry run in hopes it would resolve any issues prior to the services. I heard all minor gitches were easily cared for.

Coffee tastes really good this morning. I'm not sure if one cup will be enough. I hope you all have a great Sunday!

Good morning RD, Beenie Weenie, Henry and all who follow.

Hope you're successful at your "Sunday go to meetin'" clothes search Beenie Weenie and despite the weather, I KNOW your party will be a huge success, R/D/

Sorry you took a tumble Henry. At least you try and keep yourself in decent shape. If I fall and I can't pull myself up, they'll have to order the big crane from a heavy lifting company!

Today is forecasted to be a partly cloudy day with highs around 81. I can certainly live with that. We live with central air (heat pump) and I always keep the windows closed because we're both "cold babies" though admittedly not so much in recent years. In any event, it's getting to the point where I'll be able to open the windows at night. Hopefully within a month, I'll be able to shut off the heat pump completely. With luck, will not have to engage it again until hopefully mid January and then in it's heating capacity. As I've always said, our highest electric bills are in the summer.

We haven't been to church on Sunday in years as we prefer the Wednesday service. But everyone today is IMO too casual. Many go to their church in blue jeans and Tee-shirts complete with tennis shoes! I wouldn't dream about attending Sunday services without a coat and tie. But then I noticed that most of those who attend dressed in a similar manner as I, are either my age or older. Guess I'm too much of a traditionalist which translates into today's English as, " Old Fogey!"

It's been a long while so I thought I might post today's Sunday din-din menu as we're having a friend over so are going to a little extra effort. It's a very basic meal but oh so tasty. We'll start with a tossed salad with a light Italian dressing made with white balsamic vinegar, then progress to slow roasted (eight hours) pot roast in a rich brown onion gravy, quartered and steamed Russet potatoes, steamed peas and carrots, yeast dinner rolls and for dessert, homemade orange layer cake with milk chocolate icing dressed with a dollop of rich and creamy homemade vanilla ice cream served with coffee.

Wishing everyone a glorious Sunday and of course prayers and Blessings continue.

Todd

Good morning mates

It's a bit cloudy here in Ct. but we had a nice day yesterday, so I am thankful for that.
My mom enjoys being outdoors when the weather permits, so we certainly enjoyed the day.

I wish you all a pleasant sunday.

Default Sunday Greetings

Good morning, everyone. The sun just came out. Guess Old Sol slept in, too.

Keith and his son just left for Riverside and the Wright Flyer Project. They plan to test start the engine today. Firemen did a good job of controlling what started out as a 60-acre fire yesterday, so the two of them should have a smooth drive.

Donna, best wishes for a terrific party and that Mother Nature cooperates.
Henry, I hope you didn't get injured and that your aches and pains go away soon.
BW, sounds like your usual get-up-and-go is taking Sujnday off!
Todd, the dinner sounds delish!

Have a good day, people!

Judy
