We've never paid for anything extra on a cruise .I guess we are in the minority .Probably because on our first cruise in 1973 there were no extras .Everything available was free .
Things have changed quite a bit since then. And not all changes were for the better.
Carnival Liberty New Year's Eve 2007
Liberty of the Seas 5/2008+11/2009
Allure 1/16/ 2011
Vision OTS 2-14-2015
Freedom OTS 3/6/16
Paul after reading this thread and yours on lux cruising ,I am inclined to go on a cruise like Regent Seven Seas over say Carnivel with the same itinerary. Since theirs is all inclusive thus I think it would be alot cheaper
On the UK boards a lot of people including you all do not seem to have problems with drink packages running from $500 to above $1,500.
(does not include the small minority of course who sneak their liquor on board)
If you couple that with folks that use Balconies or suites then you probably have the making for looking at all inclusive cruise lines as they sometime throw in the airfare and excursions.
