Morning Mates, on this chilly Halloween morning, the frost is certainly on the pumpkins here in Pictou County!
I'm glad I don't have little ones to take Trick or Treating today because it is only about 2C and dull, windy, and rain expected. Could be worse, I hear they got snow in Montreal last night!
Been busy this weekend with several projects, mostly scrapbooking and more knitting. I'm trying to match what the kids have been knitting so we have a good bundle to donate by the end of next week.
Thoughts are with Todd and Fran today, hope you two will enjoy a nice Sunday dinner at home with Todd as Chief Cook and Bottle Washer.
And for your Halloween pleasure, I have to post this photo from our Halloween party at work the other day. One of the kids was showing us a 4-eyed monster mask he'd made, and I was doing the G-r-r-r-r-owling sound as my co-worker snapped the picture!
Yes rd, we cwetainly did get snow...and it stayed. Everything is covered with a lovely layer of white this morning! Better than rain! I guess i'd better go look for my winter boots.....10 DAYS! We are almost sdm's!
So far I'm having a wonderful time and I am successful in eating in three of the 21 restaurants. At this pace I may make my goal of eating in all of them. However, I don't know if my pants will fit by the end of the cruise.
Great picture RD:
It will be a spooky day on board. They do have Halloween decorations up and there will be a Halloween party. Check out my daily reports on the NCL board. I think I'll have some scary pictures after today.
I hope everyone is doing well and my thoughts, from the Caribbean, are with Fran and Todd.

Well that rain in the forecast has now turned into SNOW! So we are getting some too, just so my sister won't feel lonely!
Mike, good to hear from you, can't wait to see pictures from your Halloween on board!
Good Morning CruiseMates!
We just got home from church and had a quick bite of cashew chicken for lunch. The kids had a blast doing the ghost walk on the downtown square last night and then today they had trunk or treat after church. We all had our trunks full of candy and the kids all dressed up and came around and we would ask them a bible trivia question and if they answered it right (or even if they answered it wrong) we'd give them candy. It was great fun and a good time was had by all!
It's sunny and a fall chill is in the air. I feel like I should go take a nap or something. I definitely need to put my feet up and rest for a bit.
I hope you all have a great halloween and enjoy the day!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN Mates! I have my big bowl of treat ready for all the little goblins today and a pot of sloppy joe's on the stove. It's become tradition to have sloppy joe's on halloween. Hope all is well with everyone! Watch out for the ghost & goblins tonight!!!
Halloween is an evil holiday perpetuated by liberals. Obama wants us to celebrate Halloween so I refuse to.
Halloween originated in what is now modern day United Kingdom, Northern France, and Ireland. It started roughly 2000 years ago by people called the Celts. There new year was on November 1 .Sacrifices were common on the day before and people would dress up in animal skins and pelts.
The actual trick-or-treating is said to have started in English during the eve of All Saint's Day when beggar children went door to door asking for \"soul cakes\" in exchange for prayers for their dead.
Trick or treating was imported from European immigrants who came the US, especially the Irish. When the baby boom of the 1950's occurred, children and popular culture embraced the neighborhood door-to-door tradition we know today.
