After much discussion and price comparsion and more discussion. We have decided on a cruise for 2012. We picked the Freedom of the Seas out of Port Canaveral. I haven't done a RCL cruise since 1994 so this will be a nice change. The bummer part is waiting over a year. But the old I get the faster time goes by.
Our cruise ports are: Falmouth Jamaica, Labadee Hati, George Town Grand Camayan, and Cozumel Mexico.
This is our first caribbean cruise. It's funny that is will be our ninth cruise and we have never done a caribbean cruise. My hubby has agreed to fly thank goodness, he originally wanted to drive from California to Florida. Thank you to everyone here for helping me convince him there was more to do in the Caribbean then shop and go to the beach (I enjoy both those activites). He even talked about Parasailing, I wonder if he is getting sick or something. So it looks like I need a new cruise clock.

I'm excited, I think even my hubby is excited because he was on the website looking at pictures of the ship. Out of the ports list above anyone have any suggestions of what to do?

Shop and go to the beach.
Labadee is a beach day but they have a myriad of activities to do. Snorkel, eat, get a massage, wave runners have a cocktail or two.
On Grand Cayman you have to swim with the stingrays. It's almost a must do. You can also go the town of "Hell". I personally found that very underwhelming but you can still say "You've been to Hell".
Cozumel is the best diving and snorkeling but you can also do some shopping, check out some Mayan ruins, party at the bars, do ATV's and Jeep tours. There is a lot to do.
Take care,
Mike

I have been to Hell in grand Cayman and have visited the turtle farm and the sting rays.
I also have enjoyed the Jeep tour in Cozumel.

what's your sailing date in 2012? Grand Cayman has alot of banks so your hubby can bring some $$$$$ to open up an offshore account that the feds can't touch ::

Hi Venice we sail on 4/29/12, there are still plenty of spaces if you want to book it. I haven't told crazysis about my cruise yet. I probably should I don't think she has the funds to go, but I would love it if she came along. Csis is a blast on a cruise. I do worry about her falling overboard. My hubby would need money to open an offshore account.
Mike and TM thanks for the tips on the different ports. I want to go to Hell. Wow I didn't think I would ever say that. I have to get that picture in front of the Hell sign. It's like the picture I got of me "holding" up the leaning tower of pisa in Italy. It's touristy as heck and every one does it, but it's also fun. I'm looking forward to Labadee being a fun beach day. My hubby may not like the beach, but I love swimming in the ocean. Okay it's not swimming really it's more like floating in the ocean.

Kat..thanks for the invite, but I will have to pass because I am seriously considering the 2012 Dave Koz and Friends Jazz Cruise in late September out of Barcelona...April is a great time of year to cruise the Caribbean just as long as it does not interfere with spring break or Easter
tell your hubby i will double check to make sure the Sports Illustrated swimsuit models will not be onboard that week shooting their annual swimsuit issue featuring the beaches of the western caribbean..but wait, since he likes photography perhaps he can practice using his new camera with the 18-200mm DX VR II Nikkor zoom lense, while you are busy floating in the ocean ::
Katlady, congratulations on your booked cruise. As I am writing I am anxiously awaiting our cruise on Celelbrity's Mercury, departing from Baltimore on December 11th. The time just won't go by fast enough!
