Default Insane Saturday!

What's insane about this Saturday? That I am up and around at 7 a.m. instead of fast asleep!
This morning is the last monthly market of the year at our little community centre, and they open early. I am going to try and sell, guess what? Scarves!
I have managed to knit up another dozen in the past week, and this time I will sell them instead of giving them away.
I'm also looking forward to seeing what wonderful Christmas baking and crafts will be available....I'll probably buy more than I sell, as usual.

Later in the day I'm taking the dog for a "wash and brush up" (professional grooming) that she sorely needs, and then tonight I have a work related Christmas dinner at the local pub. Busy, busy day.

Enjoy the weekend everyone!

Good Morning RD and all to follow. You really do have a busy day planned. How do you do so much? It is cold for Florida at 37 right now. It should warm up to 60 or so later. Where is the nice pool weather we were having? I ate so much on my cruise I really do need my swimming exercize. Nothing planned for today but to stay in and stay warm. Have the best day all.

Good morning cruisemates! It's nice enough morning in Scottsdale that I'm again able to have my morning "coffee and cruisemates" on the patio/office. Heading to 77 or so degrees later in the day.

It's Mrs. Kuki's birthday, but since I gave her her present together with her anniversary gift, I got nothin. I am going to take her out for dinner tonight. Does In N Out Burger take reservations ?

Speaking of dinner.. RD, do you think it's appropriate to take all those kids to a pub for dinner?

I am golfing later this morning, and I'll probably cave on the way home and buy Mrs. K some flowers.

Good morning mates.

Donna, you must have a lot of energy to do so many thinks.

Kuki, I think that you are pulling our leg. I don't picture you as being a cheapskate.

Good morning everyone:

Old Man Winter left us with 10.5" of snow last night. I blew the driveway four times before Betty got home at 1:00 a.m. Even then I had to take the Suburban and make some paths from our house to the main road so she could follow my tracks in her Camry. (I'll take any excuse to drive)
Our wonderful city leaves our road until one of the last ones. She made it OK but she knew if she stopped on our road she wouldn't get started again. She turned into our driveway at a speed just below Mach 1. The problem was that once she hit the plowed driveway she spun out. It was rather funny because she did a perfect 180 and just ended up pointing the opposite direction. She just backed into the garage. I was sure she would end up on the front lawn. I'm going to start calling her "Junior".

My daughter is giving a lecture today and tomorrow so the grandkids are with us this weekend. I'm not sure what's on the agenda. My granddaughter and Betty are in the bathroom and my granddaughter is doing Grandma's nails. My grandson is watching the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.

On Monday I go into the hospital and I'll have two procedures. The first will be to put a butterfly closure in the hole I have between the two upper chambers of my heart and the second will be the installation of my new three lead pacemaker. I'll have to stay in the hospital for a few days but should be back to my old self in a week or two. I hope so. Blowing the driveway felt more like I was shoveling the driveway rather than using a snowblower.

Well: It's time to start doing the prep work for lunch. I have a sirloin tip roast that needs to be cooked.

Happy Birthday to Mrs. K. I hope she enjoys her In-N-Out burger. Kuki: If she doesn't want to go you can always take me. Just know that there won't be any good night kiss from me.

To everyone: Have a fun Saturday and a wonderful weekend.

Take care,
Mike

Laura, I can't believe it is colder in Florida today than here in Nova Scotia!
We are presently at 7C or 44F, with light rain. No snow here yet....

Kuki, very funny, we are NOT taking the kids to a pub for dinner!
This is a staff dinner, although I'd think that many of us will BEHAVE like children....

Good evening from another chilly, forty degrees, in Virginia Beach. Today, I stayed home and cooked two turkeys that I had gotton over half off from Wal-Mart, right after Thanksgiving. When our older daughter, her hubby, and children come in over winter break, there will be plenty of turkey to snack on! Meanwhile, even though the cruise is not for one week, "my bags are packed and ready to go" Rollerdonna, I hope that you sold your scarves and Henry, hope you had a great time at your Chanukah party with you family. (hope you played the "dreidle game" and ate plenty of latkas!

Henry, thanks so much for you good wishes concerning, Chanukah. Today, our older daughter, son-in-law, grandson, and granddaughter, just got back from a Disney cruise. The family celebration is next Saturday but, alas, Rob and I will be on a cruise!

Henry, "my bags are packed, I'm ready to go". Rob always packs the night before. If I did that, I just know that I would forget something!
