Default Kindles and iPads and Books, Oh My:)

I just started a new book, The Snowman, by Jo Nesbo and Don Bartlett. If you liked Steig Larson, you'll like this.

Have you ever reread a book?

I have listened to books on tape, more than once, but never have reread any.

I seldom reread a book, with the exception of "A Woman of Substance," by Barbara Taylor Bradford. I've read that book off and on throughout my teen, young adult, and now middle aged life. The book is wonderful and is the first book in the Emma Harte Series. Too bad it's not in ebook form, yet.

I did by accident and forgot the ending, so I continued to read. I really don't care to re-read anything, there is just too much out there to read. I am basically the same with movies and TV, for the most part.

You know how, when you end a book and the author will include a chapter or two to their next book that has not been released. I will actually get the book months later and think I read it, but it was only the chapter or two...that was at the end of the last one.

Yes, I have reread books. I am a keeper of the books I buy and have reread all of a couple of series, they are ones that have ended. I decided a few years ago that at some point I most likely would not be able to buy many books so to keep them so when that comes I can reread.

One series I bet I could reread is by Rita Lakin..Love this bunch of senior citizen slueths who get into trouble investigating murders etc. Set in a condo complex, in Lauderdale, is right up my alley. Her new one I am waiting for is: Getting old is the best revenge.. I have saved all of these books, on my Florida shelf....

I always think the main character on her covers, looks like Bea Arthur. Lots of fun reads...If you decide to check them out. my suggestion is, begin with book one

Let's see, a Kindle Update. I have been reading . . . just finished Janet Evanovich's new one Smokin' Seventeen; Save Me by Lisa Scottolini; Blood Trust by Eric Van Lustbader. Several by Georgette Heyer: Penhallow, Talisman Ring, Cotillion, finally, just started Footsteps in the Dark. If you enjoy a good hauted house story, you'll like the last one.

I read Rick Mucer's books and enjoyed them.

we had a chance see a Kindle in action on our last cruise.

Fascinated with it , so I download a PC version for trial .

Replaced my DW cell phone a new android based phone.

Loaded Kindle on the phone , she just about went thru ceiling as

to how easy it was to read & download books.

Bought her a Kindle3G for birthday with a gift card.

She loves it and has downloaded a number of free books plus bought

some. I also bought some books and now we can look at the same book

and page .

This is great! How nice of you! I love my Kindle. I still read paper books when I'm at home as well, but I carry the Kindle with me to work and wherever else I go. LOVE it for travel.

I'm currently reading The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents, by Terry Pratchett. I also play games on my Kindle. The one I enjoy the most is Triple Town. It's very addictive !

I have more books downloaded than I'll ever be able to read!

My Kindle has also led to me checking out more books from the library. I "found" a Faye Kellerman free book when I first bought my Kindle and really enjoyed it. Since they're $8.99 each for the Kindle, I've been checking out the rest from the library.

Today I showed my 13 year old grandson my Kindle and he loved it! I guess I know what he'll be getting for his BD .

I find him tolerable in E:book format. He drove me mental with his page and half chapters. He tells a really good tale but I swear that drove me to distraction. I don't notice it as much with e:books.

Ever read or listen to Robert Parker...with every character's sentence, he begins it with, he or she said....a gazillion times in one book!!!! I had to stop listening Drove me crazy!

I am in the middle of Michael Jeck's new book, King's Gold. Couldn't get it on Kindle. I wonder if size has anything to do with it . . . It's a big book.

Thanks, Trip! I downloaded ASAP!

I've been "plowing" my way through "Up the Gangway" (Amazon.com: Up The Gangway eBook: Vera Louro: Kindle Store )

It's not very well written (I think a "non-English speaker" wrote it), but it is interesting. I'm thinking that someone put together a lot of things that have happened with the crew on board, or with "a" ship, and made a "book" out of it !

I have the 3G kindle, got it for christmas. the free worldwide 3G is great, esp being in Europe, free wi-fi is hard to find. I have about a dozen medical biography-nonfiction books on my kindle which I have already read.

I am presently reading 3 books: secrets of Walk Disney World, an Osler Biography and Thinking in Pictures.

I enjoyed reading Bill Bryson's "notes from small island" and the one set in Australia. I have also read all but two of Jodi Picoult's books in the last year.

I have yet to listen to a book on my kindle, but I do enjoy the MP3 playing capability. Better than using my ipod while reading my kindle

I just pre-ordered James Patterson's newest called "Kill Me if You Can." Should be in my Kindle on Aug. 29.

I had hoped to have a new one to take to MN in Sept. to read on the plane, but Staurt Woods' new one, "Son of Stone," won't appear til Sept. 20.
