I've always wondered, what the time frame is between the jury casting votes and when they are read in LA.. I actually thought it was a matter of a few days, but it could be weeks or even a month. Does anyone know how long they take?
I don't know the exact time, but it must be a month at least. Did you see how much Fabio had filled out last night? The boy has surely been making up for the lack of calories.
Donna, I think I read somewhere that is is at least 2 months from when they finish on whereever they film until the final show. But I do think it is longer.

The filming dates were: June 11, 2009 to July 19, 2009. The air dates for the episodes were: September 17, 2009 to December 20, 2009. So this was five months.
On this last Survivor Nicaragua: The filming dates were: June 14, 2010 to July 22, 2010. Air dates for the episodes were: September 15, 2010 to December 19, 2010. So the time was also five months.
This is why people gain weight and look so different.
Take care,
Mike

Ok Mike, That does explain the weight gain, etc...I did know that by the time they start the show, its actually done. So, they have to wait that entire time for the final and then the reading of the votes....
There has to be somewhat of a gap. There is post-production work, editing and putting together the final show format.
There is also the crew. They need to move from one location to another and that takes time. They were able to turn around the last Survivor All Stars in a relatively short time because they didn't switch locations. When the "Russell" guy was on the last All-Stars he thought he'd won the previous show. That is why he didn't change his style. He made it to the finale but received no votes. If he had known the outcome of the previous season and that his "social" play lost the game for him he would probably have adjusted his strategy.
Take care,
Mike

The Big Brother house is on it's own set at Studio City in California. They do have a gap to "redecorate" the house but the cameras, production facilities are all in one place so it's pretty easy to bring in a new bunch of contestants.
There is a gap between shows. I haven't seen all of Big Brother but I don't remember any seasons that started right after the other. It is usually a Summer series.
Take care,
Mike

I would love for them to do a real behind the scenes look at Survivior. Jeff (The Host) once let it slip that for one Tribal it took 3 days of shooting to get it right.
