Default Monday Madness

Good Morning!! At least here in Florida it is good but the Northeast is having a tough time. Anyone that has ever weathered a full blizzard knows how bad this can be. Remember '78? I guess I can stand the cold here as long as I do not have to shovel.
How does this sound? The Tommy, Mary and Laura DiNardi Scholarship For Students With Disabilities. I was very proud when I got an email from my sisters friend telling me it was all set up. How proud My parents and sister would be to see that. Tommy in his short life inspired this generous gift. The generous man that set this scholarship in motion also named another one after his aunt.
Work for me today. I have to be in at 8:00 this morning. I look forward to seeing the guys I am sure they will want to show off their new gifts.
Time for me to go shower and dress for the day. Have a wonderful day.
Laura

Hi Kids,
Ahhh, to be sitting on the pool deck, and not in the middle of a major nor'ester We have snow higher than our wazoo! I saw RD on Facebook yesterday, dreading what's coming her way, will knock her out again

Once it stops, Bruce will saddle up the ride on snowblower, and I will grab a shovel...Is it spring yet?

Make it a good one...

Good morning mates

I am facing the same situation as trip.

I want roads clear by tomorrow morning so we can start driving to Florida.

Have a nice day gang. Whatever the weather is we have to make it the best way we can.

Good Morning All

After 4 long weeks, we can see the green of the gardens - this reminds me of 1962 - I was just a baby - some of my family claim I can remember the winter of 1947 but I was def not around for that!

All of you in the NE seaboard take care esp Manuel and everyone who is driving/travelling to his/her cruise. Fingers and toes are crossed.

The rest of you keep safe and warm - we have seen some footage of your roads - so please take care.

Annie

Good morning
Up early today to make the family pancakes & bacon. According to the weather forecast were due for some much warmer air near the end of the week. I see the upper 40’s. Hopefully it will melt most of the snow. I managed to hit the mall yesterday and returned all but one item, I was surprised it was pretty dead not to many people which meant short lines.

Off for PT and then heading out to my cruise partners house for a girls sleepover. We have a misuse coming to give all of us a 60 minute massage and then we’ll do dinner and just hang out, I’m sure we will be discussing our November cruise and calling our 3rd cruise mate down in Florida.

Manuel… Hope all goes well with the snow removal so you can get on the road.
Have a good Monday everyone!

Good Morning CruiseMates!
Laura congratulations on the scholarship fund. I think that is a wonderful way to remember someone special who has touched our lives and to ensure they continue to touch lives in their own special way. Bravo to the gentleman who set this up.

Well let's see where do I begin. Today is the day that I need to start packing a suitcase for us I we were supposed to leave for Canada early tomorrow morning. However it doesn't look as though we'll get on the road until the afternoon since I got a strange phone call on Friday night with a recorded voice that said "Hello" and hung up. It sounded like one of those recorded appointment reminders gone wrong, so I googled the phone numberon the caller ID and found the call came from the Orthopod I scheduled an appointment for d/h on January 28th, because he's been having terrible knee pain. I just knew instinctively they had mistakenly scheduled it for Dec. 28th instead. So this morning I called and that is exactly what happened. So I guess this is the Good Lord's way of taking care of him, since the knee has been giving him fits this past week and he has been miserable. I don't know if he could have waited until Jan. 28th, so it must be cared for now.

In case any of you missed my post late yesterday, I got a phone call from Todd. He is being well cared for by his Family near Knoxville. He has really got a bad upper respiratory bug and is suffering from major sleep deprivation. Hopefully the Doc will get him some meds to make him feel better.

Luanne, Todd was thinking about you. He said he would have called you but he doesn't have your phone number with him. He said he'll be in touch soon as he expects to go home tomorrow.

There isn't too much else going here right now. Just packing a couple of bags is all. Hope you have a great day!!!

Good morning!

I awoke to a beautiful, brisk morning! Nothing like the weather the East coast is experiencing! I have been in Colorado for Spring Break with heavy snow, but nothing like they are having in the NE! Everyone stay home, and be safe!

Laura, I love the name of the scholarship and what a wonderful idea!

Manny, please take care, and if possible, push your travel plans back another day.

Today, we have plans to get together with friends for dinner. I also think I'm going to take my Christmas tree down. I know it is a little early, and I really do enjoy it, but we leave for our cruise next Sunday, and this is going to be a busy week. I don't think I want to come home to it, so today is the day!

Beenie, I hope the doctor can fix your DH up! You would make a good detective.

Everyone have a great day, stay warm and safe!

Good morning from a cool sunny Texas. The temps should be in the 50's later today.

Laura, I love that your family name will help someone else.

Manuel, Please be careful and have a safe trip.

Trip, I was thinking of you this morning, when the news was talking about Boston. Be safe.

BW I spoke to Todd yesterday. I agree with what you said about his health. He does sound like another trip to the doctor is in order.

Not much going on here today. I have some cleaning to do, and to get things organized. Jim received new shirts for Christmas but I made him give me the same amount in old shirts. The man does not get rid of anything.

Josh goes back to work this afternoon after a very long weekend. It will be good for everyone to get back into a routine.

Falcons- Saints on Monday Night Football. It should be a good game.

I hope all of you have a good day.

Take care and stay warm.

Luanne

Good Morning cruisemates! My sympathies to all the folks in the NE who got stuff in their wazoo.

Laura, a wonderful honor for your family.. sure you are touched by it.

Beenie.. I played golf yesterday with a friend of mine from home, who is sports medicine specialist. I asked him about an issue I'm having with my knee. He answered, and then said... now I get to ask you a question about your specialty, retirement, and we'll be even

Weather is trending cooler for Az. Today is supposed to be the last day of decent weather for the week. High New Years eve is going to be 49, which is frigid for the people who live here year round.

Last day of Kuki Jr.'s visit, so we're playing golf, and then out tonight for a nice dinner.

Well hello strangers! I am checking in for the first time in a week, while I have a window of opportunity to do so. Big storm last week knocked out our internet tower in Caribou River, and although it's been repaired, we have had NO internet for 6 days, and of course now they are on extended vacation.
We had about 1 hour late last night, then off again today until just now, so thought I'd better check in and let you all know I'm still alive!
We are in the middle of the 4th nor'easter this month, this one bringing us lots of snow but mostly rain. Unfortunately that means heavy, icy power lines, so I'm not expecting the power OR the internet to last long.
It has been a long, lonely, depressing Christmas period, cut off from family and friends. Hope everyone had a nice time, and anyone on the eastern seaboard is recovering from their own storms.
My yearly poem is written, hoping to get it posted before I disappear again...

donna

Default Monday Madness

Good morning from a nippy SoCal. Rain again on Wednesday.

Donna, welcome back. I hope you can stay this time!

Well, Christmas is over for another year, so it's back to the regular stuff. I cleaned up the Christmas mess yesterday. I plan to start the laundry while Keith is at the gym.

We have an offer from an excellent steak place. I might see if the DH would like to take them up on their offer one night this week.
