Default A Snowy Friday

Good morning all!

Well, we have a dusting of snow thus far this morning, which 1 to 5 inches in the forecast. The roads around these parts are probably going to remain treacherous through the weekend with more snow forecast for Monday.

Ah well, I have the larder stocked. With my experience dealing with snow and ice for thirty years when I lived in the Hudson Valley, I'd have little difficulty getting around. It's just that I washed the car and keeping it in the garage will insure it stays that way.

Just realized I've yet to write this week's column so I'd best get cracking.

Hope everyone is warm and toasty this morning where you are even if the weather outside is celebrating the existence of the Abominable Snow Man.

It's still awfully hard being in the house all alone, but I have to get used to it regardless 'cause it ain't gonna' change.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and prayers and Blessings continue.

Todd

Snowing here too! Just a dusting overnight but within the past 30 minutes we have a good coating on the road & grass. Forecast is for more of this through most of next week.
Todd, I continue you pray that you are doing ok. I can't imagine how you feel just hope it is getting better.

Everyone have a good day and stay warm.

Good morning Todd, Sue and everyone to come.

It's day 3 of "The Plague". I can handle pacemakers, heart surgery, brain surgery, stroke, seizures and the occasional pain of hemmoroidal tissue but a cold leaves me longing for death. It is the most intolerable ailment I know. I admit that when I have a cold I turn into a 6'2", 240 lb., grumpy baby. The vile disease has now migrated to my lungs and between the sniffling, sneezing, blocked sinus and runny eyes I am now coughing. I believe a trip to the ER is in order. Not because I'm feeling that bad but I just need someone else to whine to. Betty just tells me to "Suck it up" and quityerbichen".

OK: I'm now done whining. It's a standard January day here in The North Star State. A dusting of snow landed overnight. Actually not even enough to blow.

There is nothing on today's agenda other than multiple naps and taking it easy. We also have nothing on the agenda for the weekend. I've been craving seafood chowder so I may break down and make it today.

I hope everyone has a great Friday and has plans for a wonderful weekend.

Take care,
Mike
aka Baby Huey

Morning Mates, and Todd, if I'd started this thread this morning, it would have been titled Snowy Friday as well!
I slept in late, and woke to heavy snowflakes, which has now turned to heavy snowfall.
We are supposed to get snow/rain/snow, starting LATE Friday night, but apparently it's a little premature. I'm wondering if the schools will close before I get there at 2 pm? Since most students live in rural areas, they always cancel school and or bus routes when it looks like dangerous driving.

Mike, I love your Baby Huey, and you have every right to whine. Hope you are feeling better soon.
Todd, I've been trying to send you stuff regarding the Humane Society, let me know if you get it. Maybe some material for that column of yours.

Better get some breakfast, or soon it will be lunchtime.....

Good Morning cruisemates! Too all the folks with snow and icy roads, it's beautiful here Blue skies, sunshine, and temps in the mid 60s.

That means perfect golfing weather, and I'm going to be back at it today. I did all my domestic duties yesterday; laundry, garbage removal, and washing the floors. Mrs. Kuki is stll trying to figure out what I want

Tonight I have plans to wine and dine her at the Miracle Mile Deli. A romantic outing with a table for two by the brisket.

It is a cold 19 degrees here and a dusting of snow. I believe that is all we are to get is flurries. Lots of flurrying yesterday and the roads were a little slick when I drove the 12 miles to PT. I get to do it again today!

All is well and quiet here. DD's are staying in Michigan this weekend and DH is working the weekend. We plan a bite to eat out later today and getting groceries and such. Other than that and church tomorrow evening, our weekend will be over.

Good wishes to all and have a good day!

Good Morning gang,,,,

Another beautiful sunny day here on the east coast of Va. Temps in the mid 40's,,,I'm thankful as it sounds like some of you are getting more of that white stuff.

Not much going on here either,,,we all made it thru another week so that's a good thing. Now on to the weekend,,,

We finally got our dvr hooked up,,,now Dh is trying to figure it out,,,amazing,,,I don't have patience for that stuff,,,

Hope everyone has a wonderful TGIF,,,
Prayers to those in need,,,

Good Morning CruiseMates!
Well it is snowing here as well. Parts of Indiana became a skating rink yesterday as temps hovered around freezing and cars went slipping and sliding during the afternoon and evening commute.

I'm going to join a friend for lunch in a bit so I don't have too long to post. But thought I would pop in to say HEY!

I am looking forward to a little weekend getaway. We are taking off to a nearby indoor waterpark and spending Saturday and Sunday there to celebrate a birthday with dd's girlfriend. I really could use a weekend in the water. It sounds so relaxing. I think I am looking forward to it more than the kids are.

There really isn't much else going on here. It's a quiet day. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Good morning from a sunny, cool Texas. We are suppose to warm up later, so no snow for us.

I have to get out and run errands today. I have put it off all week.

I finally got all of our plans taken care of for our trip to Florida. As you know, we won 2 tickets anywhere in the US. Because of the taxes and stuff, we were also given two 100 dollar gift cards. Those where suppose to take care of the extra expense. Well, Jim's boss bought the wrong kind, and the airline does not accept them, so I had to pay, and I was given the gift cards. I hate gift cards. There are so many restrictions on them. These are some of the things I was told as far as this company. Don't use at resturants, because they take an extra 20%. Don't hold on to them, because each week, you don't use them, five dollars are substracted. Crazy!!! I think I will take them to Wal Mart and buy a supply of paper towels, TP, and groceries. That should use them up quick.

I was talking to the young guy at the Dayona Raceway yesterday and asked him if I could order warm weather for this trip, since we froze in Dec, and he told me that last year before the race it was sleeting. I guess we will take our winter clothes with us.

I hope all of you have a good day.

Luanne

Every since you Americans started getting doused with snow .... we barely get any up here near Toronto. We did get a couple of inches yesterday though, I think it may be our first snow of the season. I hope it lasts, I've got two toboggans in storage since 2007 because we haven't had enough snow to use them.

Default A Snowy Friday

Good morning from a chilly Southern California. The light rain didn't pan out, which is fine with me.

Keith plans to go to the gym this morning. The antibiotic took care of my ear ache, so I'll probably do some more ironing today. So exciting!

Have a nice day, people!
