glad to see Russel gone but I have a feeling he taught those two young girls a few lessons - things might get out of control - it will be interesting now that Russel is gone -

It's the context that makes it sexist, Henry. My friends and I call each other girls.

Besides, I'd rather be called a girl than someone half my age calling me hon, which happens more often than I'd like. Then again, I live in a place where everybody calls everybody else hon.

Oh Donna, then I am sorry for you...but I am happy he is gone. You are right that he did make it interseting...but I was always wanting to do him bodily harm.

A friend of mine ,a noted feminist journalist /author believes its women who in referring to themselves as girls are allowing men to in turn be sexist .

Men do not normally refer to their male friends as boys ,they say guys .

People are laying dead overseas

Our govenment is a mess

Our schools are being ruined

Little kids cry for their daddies at night, not knowing if they will ever see them again

The rights that were promised to my forefathers are being taken away

Women are still being paid less than men

The womans lib failed. It took the balls out of men, and it forced women to support the family. It told men they were not good enough, and it told women they didn't need a man.

Girl, woman, man or boy. Does any of that matter anymore?

I don't want to do another political debate but 90% of the problems this country is dealing with could be eradicated if the trillions of dollars traditionally used for warfare would be re-directed .

We have a lighthearted Survivor thread, I think we now need to focus on Boston Rob & the gang, since Russell went bye bye...good idea?

I just find it interesting that the powers that be have no problem with joking about the Titanic but abhore political posts .

Instead of having Boston Rob back for a third time why not have the Survivor contestants who have overcome cancer or have done something productive with their lives .

Henry, the thread got very off topic....what offends one, does not offend another...this thread was meant to have fun with a popular reality show, that's all...

I for one would like to see Ethan Zohn rather than Rob or Russell .He is a cancer survivor and is spending a great portion of his time raising money for HIV/AIDS .

Christina had go to the island...she lost to Matt, so buh bye! Rob's team won the puzzle challenge, and got pastries and coffee...Rob and his pal found a clue in the coffee...Rob switched it, to give the older clue he had to him, instead of the newest one.

The other team voted off the blonde of the duo, that were pals with Russell.

Thank-you Trip! The people (matt) on redemption island...how long do they have to stay for cring out loud? The rest of the game? I thought if they won, they could go back in the game.

Hez,
I too thought, once they won a duel, they could go back, but so far Matt is still there, may-be we mis-understood?

I heard that once the tribes merge the last person on redemption island will rejoin the tribe. Then again who knows there are so many spoiler sites out there.

I am rooting for Matt to hang in there too, I am a Boston Rob fan, but really thought it was a wrong decision to vote out Matt, they should have sent "the girlfriend" Go Matt!!!!!!!

Russell is gone, but I think Rob and Phillip will make it interesting in the next few segments - don't know, but it's just a feeling I have. As we all know you never know what's going to be happening with everyone and how they can switch alliances so quickly.
