I say yay to a recipe thread..I tried it once,and it didn't fly..so someone please start it...I passed around a great easy sour cream bundt recipe on Facebook...
I am having white bean and chicken chili..hubby is having steak and onions.

I had meant to get a chili started in the slow cooker before leavign for work .... but time ran out.
We have a young girl that lives with us as a nanny for our kids. We just lost our first nanny after 3.5 years. She was an pretty good cook, and although I loved to cook, I let her take over meal planning and most of the M-F cooking.
The new girl who is very sweet and adores our kids ..... not such a great cook. I've left explicit instructions for how I want something cooked, and it comes out completely different. I've left her with something basic like chicken and asked that she cook one of her native foods, TERRIBLE (especially after we got used to the last girl cooking the same foods for us).
So, it looks like I need to start taking over meal planning again, or leaving work early to go home and cook.
I'm paying close attention to the recipe thread ; )

okay, I decided .... chicken,brocoli, and rice skillet with cambpell's cream of chicken soup. Hardly what I'm craving .... but its fast and comfort food. I do season it up quite a bit and add some wine, so it is a little fanciaer than it sounds

This is Burns night, so tonight for us in Scotland its Haggis, Neeps and Tatties....Cant beat it
And how different Thanksgiving may have been, if that Scots guy had not drunk so many drams the night before, slept in and allowed his mates the Native Americans to present Turkey to the Pilgrim Fathers instead of the Haggis he had ready for them,,mmm

I had haggis at New Years on the cruise, piped in with great cermony too. It was OK bit like mince really. But now we are back to reality we bought 3 chickens for £10 so it's chicken for a while...
Haggis like mince - texture yes; taste - no! Tonight is Burns night
I actually love haggis for breakfast with some Black Pudding made by a proper Butcher of course along with tattie scone. In actual fact, a popular fast food breakfast roll in Scotland is a sausage (Lorne please) and any of the above doubler.

I'm getting my mojo back .... tonight is shrimps with angelhair pasta.
