On a local radio station today I heard that cruise lines are doing away with the mini bottles of shampoo, skin cream ,body lotion ,etc . Instead they are installing dispensers which will be affixed to the shower wall .
I had that on a cruise not long ago - don't remember what line - and it was just fine. The products were good (shampoo, conditioner, body wash) and no litle bottles to fall on the shower floor.....or those damn rip-open paper containers that you can never open! I'm all for it.
Carnival has had those dispensers for quite some time now. At least since 2004.

My last few cruises have had dispensers on the wall, but also some little bottled products as well. Usually I don't use them because I am so scent sensitive, but some are OK.
I agree though, that the dispensers are more "green" and make sense.
In the entire state of NY there is just one store that stocks Elemis .
I suspect that is because it is a UK brand - OK I'll take Aveda - now I know there are plenty of Aveda shops in NYC - I could even tell you where some of them are. Aveda is a very green brand.

I'm not in NYC .I also never heard of Aveda but I am interested .
I like Aveda too, better than elemis. It's pricey but goes a long way.........
a big bar of soap lasts me a long time. The smell is heavenly, the mint one.

I agree - I love their shampoo and conditioner; expensive but they last a long time and they smell great. You get what you pay for.
I suspect too expensive for the cruise lines but some hotel chains stock them.
