cruising or visiting Egypt right now ? do we have any that were planning to be in that part of the world in the next few weeks ?
very very volatile part of the world rightnow..how will that impact the price of oil which of course drives the price of gas..right now where I live unlead regular is $3.00 a gallon at the cheap stations
I would stay away from Egypt for some time. Once turmoil starts, it's hard to stop.

As much as I would love to see cities like Cairo and Alexandria, common sense tells me to wait until things are more safe and stable in Egypt. Past history has proven, when people are repressed, they will "rebel". This situation happened in eastern europe in the late 1980's when the Berlin Wall was hit by the people in east Berlin and west Berlin.
My son is a doctor with the state department stationed in Cairo. He called me yesterday and again today. He and his wife live in an area of Cairo where many other foreigners live that is far from the center of the city where all the protesters have been. He said that it is protected and quiet there at least so far. I heard on the news this evening that there are 50,000 US citizens in Egypt.
Paul..thanks for sharing and we all will keep your son and his family along with all Americans in that part of the world, in our prayers at Church today..where is the US Embassy located in Cairo and does the United States have a military presence in the City ?
I doubt that the embassy is located in the area where all the protests are taking place, but I really don't know. He has been in his residence rather than the embassy the last two days. The embassy probably has some US military guards. Let's hope this thing gets over quickly.
