I"ts a clear cold morning here in Snowville Ct. Temps are about as low as they get in this area.
We have mountains of snow everywhere, many roofs have collapsed because of the weight of the snow. many streets are way too narrow because there is no room for all the snow.
More snow is in the forecast for tomorrow.
In about two months we will leave for Florida to go on our april cruise. Now all we have to do is keep from freezing untill then.
Whatever your weather is, have a nice day.
TM

Morning Manuel, (and all to follow). It's pretty frigid here too, at -10C with windchill of -17 or 1F. It is another beautiful day though, with an amazing sunrise over the 45 cms of snow we got...
There have been roof collapses around the Maritimes as well, but so far, not ours, thank goodness. We're a little worried about the garage though....
We spent most of yesterday shoveling out the walk and driveway, and making a path for the poor dog who was trying valiantly to forge the snowbanks to pee!
We now have a huge mountain of snow left by the plow guy who cleaned out the biggest part of the driveway.
There are lots more pics in the Personal Gallery under "Snow 2011" if you're interested...
Have a good Friday everyone. I'm going back to work today for only the 2nd day this week! Then it's the weekend, whoopeeee!
Good morning everyone from a very cold Texas. We finally got a little bit of snow. Not enough to cause a lot of problems, but still pretty. I know that what we received, seems like nothing to most of you, but I use to have students who had never seen snow. We just don't get it that often. Now sunshine is another thing all together.
I woke up yesterday and discovered I had gained 2 lbs, so yesterday I worked hard to get back to my target. I have yet to weight this morning, but hopefully what I did yesterday, payed off.
Not much going on today. Jim doesn't have to report until 10:00 and Josh is off, so I guess I will have them under foot for awhile this morning.
Hi Kids,
Sunny today, so maybe, just maybe, some of the 3 foot icicles wil melt a bit. In Ma. we have had 80 roof collapses, some in my town, with schools, an airport hanger in the next town, and, gas station canopies..Scary. Tomorow may bring some mix, and, I hope I make it to work.
Here is my litle shed in the back yard. I am sure there is a family of some animals taking refuge iniside..Also, there are many tracks in the backyard, some look like wild turkeys, but I swear Bigfoot could be knocking on my door. That is a clothesline there..It may be one of ther few left Make it a good one.

love the pictures. Trip, I have a clothesline too. It's so green. I don't hang the undies out there tho, for all the neighbors to peruse.
It's 12 degrees, nothing but ice everywhere, and the guy who was supposed to plow our street did not. So, it's a real mess.
My neighbors were all up on their roofs trying to clean them. I may be crazy but not that crazy. Yet.
Good Morning CruiseMates! Some of you really have impressive amounts of snow. In some ways I am thankful ours came down as densely packed ice/sleet instead. If it had been snow, we'd probably still be digging out. I am thankful as well we didn't get the freezing rain either.
I finally got motivated to go outside and chisel my truck out of its icy cocoon. Luckily we had two sunny days in a row and that helped a lot. but there were inches of packed iced on the windshield and around the wipers and that was a real pain in the butt to get that cleaned out. It took over an hour after letting it sit running for an hour with the defogger on high. Then I went over to make tire tracks in the neighbors driveway to make it appear someone is home, and got the danged thing stuck. That took another hour of shoveling the ice out away from the tires and putting down kitty litter to get some traction. Needless to say it looks like there's been a flurry of activity in that driveway now. No one would think that house is unoccupied with the mess I made over there lol.
Today I need to get more laundry done. D/H is going to be working up in South Bend next week, and I think he might appreciate some clean underwear. I know, call me psychic. Not much else happening aside from my other duties as Domestic Goddess.
Good morning A sunny morning here again today very deceiving since its only 8 degrees out there. The boy is back in school and hubby off to work so the house is once again mine. I think a trip to Target today is in order just to get out of the house for a little. Later I’ll brave the cold to grill us a few nice NY strip steaks for dinner. RD… such a pretty sunrise. Have a great day everyone

good morning all, love the pics Donna & Trip. Its sunny but chilly, supposed to get warm today almost 30 degress lol, sun is strong so more melting going on, we have 3-4' icicles everywhere, they are pretty but scary.
Good Morning cruisemates! Well, all that snow that you guys are getting is tough. Guess you have to be happy you don't live in Cairo
It's 29 degrees right now in Scottsdale, but the weather is supposed to break today, and begin warming. 60 today, 70 in a few days.
Last night we'd been invited out for cocktails and nosh. Afterwards I was hankerin fo a steak, so took Mrs. Kuki out to the Capital Grille, and found a melt in your mouth filet mignon.
Today I'm going to give the golf course a try, and Mrs. Kuki is preparing dinner for my mother, sister and brother in law.
Just cold and rain here today. The snow and ice stayed just south of us and I sure am glad.
Tomorrow our grandson, Josh will be 4 years old. He wants to go to Chuckie Cheese so I know I will have a headache afterwards. That place is too loud. I remember going with our other grandson Scottie, he is now 25 and in stationed in Japan with the USS George Washington. My how time flies.
Good morning from Iceville,NY ,a suburb of Snowville .Its 22 and sunny here .Snow is expected to begin late this evening and end tomorrow afternoon .Additional storms next tuesday and thursday .
It has been a cold morning here but the sun is shinning now making it look warmer than it is. At least we are not seeing snow....YET. We missed the big one this week, it went north of us but 2 more are coming. We should see a little accumulation overnight with lots more coming next week if the weatherman is right.
I've been busy in the office this morning. Had a webinar that lasted about an hour. Learned some new info that might help my business. Will venture out to Ashland, KY in a bit. Need to pick up some items for D/H's business. These runs may be coming to an end very soon. He says he is going to retire and sell his business. He has a guy wanting to buy it so now is the time. It will be odd having D/H around but don't worry I have started a honey-do list for him. That should keep him busy until the weather breaks and the golf courses open!
RD & Trip, Love the photos they are great. Just glad we don't have that kind of snow on the ground.
BW, you are a good neighbor! Just glad you were able to dig the truck out.
Luanne, we have friends in Texas and when their twins were about 5 they were up here visiting when we had a very light coating of snow hit. The two boys ran outside with no shoes or coats and quickly realized that snow is cold! We got a good laugh out of it and have never let them forget it.
Everyone have a great day and stay warm.
Good morning from sunny Southern California where there's not a flake of snow except what graces Mt. Gorgonio. Definitely sweater and jacket weather, though.
Kuki is right about Cairo. Pretty scarey stuff.
I plan to do a small pile of ironing while Keith is at the gym. Lunch at the local Mexican restaurant, probably.
