Morning Mates, it's another beautiful but cold morning here in Pictou County.
At the moment it is -10C with a windchill of -17 or 1F.
Pictou County is the host this weekend for the Special Olympics.
Athletes from all over have arrived in town by the busload, filling all the local hotels and motels. They will be competing in cross country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating and ice dance, and I think swimming too.
I might get over to the pool or the arena and watch some of the competitions this weekend, and cheer on these deserving athletes.
Tonight is Trivia night at the pub, and I'm hoping we get home before the NEXT snow starts to fall. We're expecting another 10-15 cms overnight and into Sunday.
I guess Sunday, we'll be shovelling out again!
Good morning
A little quiet here this morning i guess everyone is sleeping in. Their calling a little more snow later today but not much. Nothing to report here just the same old same old.
Have a great day!

Good Morning cruisemates! Bright sunshine, but still cool this morning. But that run is ending today. Heading to the high 60s today, and back to 70s tomorrow!
There was a long frost delay at the golf course yesterday, so I ended up not playing golf. My eventual start time would have had me ending after our company was coming for dinner. I am however, going to make it up today... heading to the course soon.
I've spent the last 4 days bonding with Mrs. Kuki, so she's tired of me now
A sleepy good morning to you all. The furnace has been chugging away, but the sun is just peeping out.
Keith is getting ready to go to Flabob Airport and the Wright Flyer Project. They plan to test the engine today.
Like Aerogirl says, just the same old same old Saturday stuff. If you shop at Macy's today and wear red and buy something, they'll give you another 20% off. It's a campaign for the American Heart Association. Is that it your area, too? I ikght go check that out later on.
Good morning everyone from sunny and warm (+20F) Minnesota. It's a nice February day. (Hey, I got the month right)
We will be leaving soon to pick up my grandson for the weekend. My granddaughter has a sleep over at her friends house so no Grandma and Grandpa this weekend. She's growing up so fast. I am also installing a webcam on my daughter's desktop PC. She will be doing a series of lectures in Australia, starting next week, and will be gone for 19 days. This way she can "see" the kids and her husband. She is very excited about it. She will be visiting Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. I'm jealous that she'll be going Down Under before I do.
We will be doing some ice fishing tomorrow. It's time the grandson knows the joy of sitting on a frozen lake and staring into a hole.
I hope everyone has a great Saturday and a Wonderful Weekend!!!
Take care,
Mike

We are having a wintry mix of snow turning into rain, then back to snow.
At least we are one day closer to spring.

It has been raining in Virginia Beach all day. Rob and I ventured out only to go to Trader Joe's. This evening we are meeting friends for dinner at Smokey Bones. (coupons are great!!!). Hope the weather gets better where you all live. Enjoy pre Super Bowl, Saturday. And yes, Go Steelers; (my mother was born in Washington, Pa, so of course I am a Steelers fan).
On my side of the pond, the rain has moved south - yeah! Temp approx 45 and dry!
Well I ventured out today and bought my new sofas. So a redecorating job looms- well that is where my plethora of nephews comes in handy - I am vertically challenged!; debate is now whether to replace the carpet with new carpet or a hardwood floor. I do tend to leave cups/glasses on the floor and kick them over - I know I am worse than a child . Well that is tomorrow's decision.
BTW - pardon my ignorance which is the better football team for tomorrow's game?
