Question How many matches?

Yes, another trivia question. We lost a tie breaker on this one

How many matches are in a standard book of matches?

20

Same number as in a pack of cigarettes.

That's my guess and I'm sticking to it.

Take care,
Mike

I agree - it's 20 to match the number in a cig pack. Just double checked one of my many souvenir matchbooks.

Yeah, we have that trouble all the time! What is the one about "fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of your mouth"??

We guessed 24 matches to a book. I guess if you used matches to light roses or eggs, two dozen would make sense.

But -- the same number as a pack of cigarettes is right!! If we had said 20 we could have won another luggage tag ...

Ah, Donna, a "how come?" question is not a trivia fact, it is an issue of lasting philosophical importance!

AT least the book of matches matches the number of cigarettes in a package. The hot dog and bun has always made me scratch my head, what are they thinking? Ok, may-be the double dog...
