Its really hard not to break those eggshells, isn't it?
Seriously - probably the thing that scared me the most was hot air ballooning. My problem was I didnt check to see how the cage was made, and I kept thinking the floor could fall through.
I also realized that if anything happened to the balloon there was no backup engine like on a plane. Funny, I have no fear of flying, but that balloon ride had me really would up tight.
I have ziplined at Labadee - that was pretty special (it is a very high zip line).
I have wanted to parachute, but my wife has done it once and tried to do it a second time and couldn't do it (for some reason). Our old Rita Ippoliti (God rest her soul) damaged her kneecaps pretty severely by skydiving and it affected her for the rest of her life.
I have scuba dived (breathing from a tube is a real leap of faith).
I generally do not like anything that upsets my equilibrium now - I get dizzy very easily since a bike accident I had a few years back.
I am the editor, but I also speculate, ask questions and play devil's advocate. I reserve the right to change my mind.
I've skydived a BUNCH of times. When I started, we didn't do tandem jumps,,,just static line for the first couple of jumps. I've raced motorcycles. The lovely Mrs. Jones (Vita) won't do the zip line, so I haven't tried that. I've scuba dived. I've flown a whole bunch of different aircraft, including ultralights, but never a hot air balloon! (Sounds like a lot of fun though.) I've probably done more stupid stuff, but can't think of any right now.
Setting out on my own in my car to move to Florida. I packed up as much as I could in the car. took the kitty to the vet and got her some pills to keep her calm. She hates to ride. I had done a lot of research into places to live. I even had a possible job lined up. I got it and still work there. I had even checked out the hotels in the area for a place to stay until I could find a place to live. On the planned day of departure Miss Lilly and I got in the car and drove away. That was in 2007 and I have been here ever since. I had the support of CruiseMates and checked in every night. I am very happy here and have never had any regrets.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.“
When I was in Vietnam, one night that I and three of my buddies were assigned to vehicle maintnance we took a Jeep and went to a party at an Air Force base several miles away. We drank and partyed all night before going back to our Army base just before sunrise.

Mine was climbing Deadman's Hill in NY
No, none of the above.
I was at Camp Ripley, Minnesota, as a liaison officer attached to the headquarters of the Second Marine Regiment, for cold weather training. The First Sargeant was inside his tent. I asked him a question and he responed, "I don't give a f***!"
My reply: "Yes, the troops tell me that your wife has been complaining about that, but I'm not here to talk about your marrital relations."
And yes, I stood my ground as he backed out of the tent.
