Default Royal wedding invitations in the mail

Royal wedding invitations in the mail
Well, it is official.
Have you received your Royal Wedding Invitation from the happy couple yet, Prince William and Kate Middleton (Catherine).

Royal wedding invitations in the mail - *News - MSN CA

Are you going to watch or are you going to London or are you the rare one who received an invitation.

I'll be up at 3am I guess to watch the proceedings.

Fair enough, did not assume we would all be up though in your case it would be 8am if you chose to watch.
approximate..

You all might learn something in what pageantry is all about and some history so at least when American AM talks , you will know the news.

Anyhow, we all have different cultural origins and this is a North American chit/chat board that also has members like myself and others from and of the UK.

Cheers

Yes we have members from everywhere. Some of us even have roots in South America.

But we all have a right to our opinion.

Manuel,
Culture also means my English terms might be different and no where in my note did I say you did not have a right to your opinion. Sometimes my subtle humour does not take though I did stay away from 'tea'.

I'm glad to hear of roots from South American as all of us have different roots which allows us to learn and enjoy what makes up our community.

My invitation has not arrived...... yet.

I will treat it as a personal snub if my invitation does not arrive. However I will be in good company - I understand Fergie isn't going either.

It is a Public holiday for most of us in the UK; not me as I am retired.

Interestingly enough with the late Easter holiday, the wedding and the following May PH; a lot of workers can enjoy a 10 day break using only 3 days annual leave - and guess what a whole lot of folks are leaving the country going on holiday.

I will set the PVR - I looking at the dresses etc.

I am retired as well. Once we reach this point in life, we don't get any holidays at all.

I will probably watch the re-caps, as it will be on at a difficult time here.
I remember watching Charles & Diana's wedding shortly after my own 1st wedding, and that was exciting. There is a lot of interest here in Canada as we are still a Commonwealth country.
I hope to be able to get across to PEI in June to see William & Kate make their first official Canadian visit.

Robh, I am sure every bride to be will be watching, and, drooling! There is no doubt the pomp and circumstance will be spectacular. One person will be missed deeply, by her son's side;(

Agree Trip.

I hope they don't try and dress Kate a la Diana; she has her ring - that is surely enough.

I know I would not be happy with that ring.

Marj is not happy that on the wedding day we will be flying back from Hawai'i. I, on the other hand, will be unhappy about leaving same.

Doug

There is another Royal Wedding in July, in Scotland - Princess Anne's daughter Zara.

I can't see that being televised though.

Doug,
All the cruise lines seem to be arranging for the broadcast to be on the large screens so maybe she will get lucky and watch on the plane?

I think Zara Phillips will become pregnant last - I think she wants to compete in the London Olympics.

Kate and William will not wait long but Albert and wife might be the first.

I would rather be in Hawaii too - video of the wedding will be rerun ad infinitum.

Set the PVR.

I think to give your fiancée your mother's engagement ring is a lovely thing to do. Not a great one for the Royal family I doubt if they care about me! Two UK ''soaps'' have their own big days at the same time, a gay wedding on Coronation street & Phil & Shirley on Eastenders....just as real to me!

Now that you have your invitation, you have to scrutinise what category of invitation you received:

Church only

or

Church + Queen's reception

or

Church + Queen's reception + POW dinner.

Apparently only 300 people qualify for all 3 events.

How mean asking someone to the Wedding but no meal!
