Default Arthur Frommer

How many people listen to travel radio shows ? Do you buy travel books ? I personally am a devotee of Arthur Frommer . I must add that Mr.Frommer and I have mutual friends .In fact I spent part of today with Mrs.Frommer .We discussed cruising as well as CM .

I like Peter Greenberg, Rudy Maxa & Rick Steeves & Anthony Bourdain....each has a great take on traveling around the globe....I have always been an armchair traveler and love to watch and listen to them.

I get Frommers and the like, on the 25 cent table at the library, when they get the newest year in.....have a shelf of them now...

Henry, Rudy Maxa I believe is the only one who has, or, had a radio show..Rick Steeves, is on PBS,and has been for years...Peter Greenberg was on NBC,and now is on CBS,and Tony Bourdain is a chef, and, has a travel show, revolving around food...

Even I have heard of Rick Steeves this side of the pond.

BTW I have bookshelves of Travel Books - very little Fodor and Frommer. However I do use their websites.

I have high regard for Frommer's guides however I use other sources such as the ones that Trip cited.

I'm a cruise virgin . Many of my summers were spent on land including the jersey shore . Many years ago I went to the Stone Pony to see a very young singer by the name of Bruce Springsteen .
