My thoughts and best wishes to all of the people effected by the earthquake and tsunami.
It's a typical Mid-March day here with a light coating of new snow from last night. It should be melting today so it will be short lived.
I was awakened at 3:00 a.m. this morning by the TV. Betty fell asleep with the TV on and at 3:00 some dang infomercial for some type of vitamin supplement started blaring. I can't believe how obnoxious and loud these things are. I'll be glad when the new FCC regulation goes into effect and commercials and infomercials must be at the same volume as other programing.
I hope everyone has a great Saturday and a wonderful weekend.
Take care,
Mike

Hi Kids,
Almost ready to head off to work, but wanted to check in....Going to be a bit over 50 here today, and I just might start singing!
A day of merchandising the windows, which I love..maybe we can open the door and let the spring in
Travel day for our Saphire Cruisemates...Kuki may find it hotter in Scottsdale then he had in Hawaii..I hope the northwest cruisers, incl. Larry and Sharon find all is well...Safe travels one and all.
Thoughts and prayers head out overseas....a tough road ahead;(
Make it a good oene.

Good morning A mild day here today in the windy city with a great week ahead of us from what I see. Let’s not forget to “Spring Forward” and move the clock ahead one hour. Mike … my hubby complains all the time about the difference volume between the TV shows and commercials.
My prayers go out to all the people affected by the earth quake.

Good morning, from already in the sixties, Virginia Beach. Rob and I have alread been to Toys R Us to buy some surprises for one of our granddaughters, who is celebrating her birthday on April 2nd. How time marches on! Then it was on to Walgreens to catch the sales. As luck would have it, we won a $25 gift certificate. That made our day! Make it a great day, fellow cruisemates!
Good morning! It's still chilly but will warm up later. The overcast makes me drowsy.
My first thoughts this morning were those poor people in Japan. I can't imagine having no home, all belongings destroyed, no car, no money, no ID, not knowing where loved ones are, and possibly being injured, not to mention nuclear power plants that want to spew radiation.
On the west coast, tsunami warnings ranged from Central America to Alaska. There was minor damage mostly in northern CA, OR, and Catalina Island. Local damage was minor as well, but beaches were closed as a precaution. A few boats were damaged, and I heard that someone was swept out to sea.
Keith has long departed for Riverside. My day is undecided. We had a nice lunch yesterday at a local restaurant called Giovani's that just recently moved. Our little (well, maybe not so) town is undergoing a rennaisance with downtown development, including an old place called the Sugar Bowl which has been replicated after many years.
Time to have a cuppa caffeine and get the day started. Enjoy your Saturday.
I spent the day doing errands (seven more sleeps!).
I started the day off at walmart and dropped almost two hundred dollars on suntan lotion, sun hats, a new beach bag, cosmetics and toiiletries, and munchies for the trip. Then I headed off to Payless to buy some dressy shoes for DS. Next stop was the camera shop to get my camera cleaned ... I lucked out because the tech told me to save my fifty bucks and said it wasn't that bad. I toyed with with idea of a new lens for the camera and an extra flash .... but then decided I could not justify the expenditure. Finally a trip to the $ store, looking for an over the door shoe hanger. I had bought one recently but it has opaque pockets and I'm still on the lookout for one with clear pockets. Still managed to drop $35 at there. Last stop was Zellers (our version of Target) where I bought a few hats ands things that I liked better than the ones I bought at Walmart.
Tomorrow .... returning the duplicate items at Wal-mart and exchanging the shoes for DS at Payless for a larger size.

The people in Japan just can't seem to catch a break. My thoughts and best wishes are with them.
It's sunny and warm here today. Took my dad for a spin around the neighborhood in his wheelchair.
Having a very busy and stressful day, but relief came in the mail! Yay! It's always nice to have something to put a smile on the face.
The puppies were brought inside last night despite my not wanting them in. We had a huge mess to clean this morning. The are spending the night in the garage tonight after spending the day in the back yard. OH is going to put down tick control in the back this evening. If you ask me he should have done that days ago. Oh well.
