Default Buildings with names

Nearly every apartment house in NYC besides having a street address also has a name .This applies to office buildings as well .
I'm wondering if other cities have this as well.

Yep! Here in the South, we not only give 'em names, but most of 'em have TWO names. You'll hear folks say "Yep, I live right over there at Billy Bob". Or, "My sister-in-law shops over there at Jimmy Bob". Works out real well.

Trhoughout my teenage years I lived in a large colonial up on a hill. They named it Heaven Hill. Had nothing to do with religion.....that was the brand of bourbon they drank!

I love 3 buildings with names. Two are in DC named for distant relatives, but my all time favorite is the Dakota in NY. I have read the history of the building, and my dream is to one day stand in front of it.
