Christmas lights
Easter is just a few weeks away. Have you taken down your Christmas lights yet?

Christmas Lights
A good question, RT, because a lot of people in SoCal leave 'em up all year. It looks awful.

I guess after the holidays you could get away with calling them "party lights".:)
|
We take ours down the day after just in case we get hit with a snow storm.
|
I like to keep my lights until the weekend after 3 Kings day.

My friends who celebrate tend to take down their lights before the end of the holiday
|
Ours come down on Jan. 2nd every year

Fun2cruiz, that was a great explanation.
The Christmas season is not over for us until the Three Kinks Day. That is the way we celebrated in the little town where I was born and I still follow the same tradition. Sadly for many people today the only thing that counts is opening the presents. TM |
All of our outdoor decorations were buried under so much snow that no-one would ever know they are still up. However, after coming back from our holiday March Break, we were surprised to see all the snow gone, so now I guess I have to take down the Christmas decorations!

Just kiddin' Manuel. Seriously, we stop lighting the decorations on Three Kings Day, however due to a mixture of bad weather and sloth we didn't get them down until the end of February. There are people who are still lighting theirs. I believe they are candidates for the funny farm. |
