Default A question

I've spoken to many women over the years who cruise with a female friend or with a group of female friends if their husbands are not interested in crusing .I'm wondering if any married men on this board have cruised with another guy or a group of male friends ?

I have gone on three cruises without my wife. One with a friend and his wife. One with my Son-In-Law and one with my daughter.

I prefer to cruise with my wife along.

Take care,
Mike

My wife loves to cruise. She is allways ready to go. I pick the cruises and book them and she is allways happy to go on whatever itinerary I pick.
So it's not likely that I will cruise without her. Nor would I want to.

I am not married but I have never gone cruising with another male (except for my son when he was small) in the same cabin..if that were the case we would probably book 2 separate cabins (to avoid scheduling conflicts)...it's much more fun to cruise with a female friend in the same cabin (unless it was with my ex wife):???::???:

it's an interesting perception that a group of women can go cruising and share the same cabin but it's viewed differently if a group of men do the same thing (unless they are blood/marriage related) exception maybe on a sports theme cruise

After I retired I went into business with a friend . On occasion we would take business trips and share a hotel room . When we would go to breakfast guests at the hotel seemed to frown on 2 males sharing a room but never think otherwise about 2 women sharing a room.

My wifes passion is not cruising .I on the other hand love to cruise .I was thinking of perhaps cruising with a guy friend ,just speculating .

Henry..the other bias is a very young man/older woman(cougar) or older man (rich)/very young woman (gold digger)..causes quite the conversation around breakfast on the lido deck

if I could not find a female cabin mate that did not share my love of smooth jazz (and my son could not go) to go on my full charter cruise ..I would be honored that you and Paul could be my roommates..however, since you both are married, you could get in the way

I went on a jazz charter with my best friend who is female and happily married and her Mom(my adopted Mom) ...had a hard time explaining that one at dinner..however, my adopted Mom was my perfect "wing man(woman)"

People can be biased and bigots. I remember taking my daugther to see a Broadway play, and since we had tickets to attend a reception before the play, we were nicely dressed.

DUring the reception I noticed that I was getting dirty looks from some other patrons until at one point she called me Dad.

But what other people think should not keep us from doing our own thing.

When I was about 40 I took a female relative about 17 to see a broadway play and had the same reaction .
