I am sorry I have not been keeping you all informed. This household has been busy such as answering the phone, people ringing my door bell and sleepless nights.
Helen: She is in Hospice now Home care. She is not doing very well meaning, she can not walk without assistance. She can not speak much. Some days she can make sentences that we can understand others NOT. She had a bad epicsode last night at 8 pm. Her head, she motioned was spining and aching. We put her to bed. She has to be lifted into place in the bed. since she cannot walk without assistance we have placed a monitor under her sheet. If she trys to get up an alarm will sound and I will assist her.
Nuff said now. Except to say Hospice the Conforter is great. They have furnished supplies and equipment galore. The Doctor has seen her and a nurse will come 2 times a week. She is bathed periodically. Well she is being taken care of her. Hey I thought that was nuff said.
Best is to Pray for her as our Pastor has done here in our home.

Ray, You and Helen are in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep us informed. We care.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.“
Ray, I am so glad that Hospice is around to help. We had them for my FIL and it was a releif for the family.
Your family is in my prayers.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all----
Sadly my family has been in similar situation but thank goodness for the wonderful people who do hospice care
I also strongly agree with Kuki. I do hope you re-evaluate your decision to keep Helen at home. I know why you are, just as we all would probably want, but you getting sick won't help her any and we both know, you won't be getting the rest you must have.
Regardless, you both remain uppermost in my nightly prayers.

Ray, I am so sorry that Helen has deteriorated so rapidly. You deserve all the credit for keeping her with you for so long. I have to agree with Kuki and I hope you will reconsider in home hospice. You need more help than they can provide. You can't keep going 24 hours a day without it taking it's toll on you.
