Morning Mates, no change in the miserable weather, still pouring, dull and cold. I've forgotten what the sun looks like.
Well, the big news is, in case you missed it, I accepted one of the 3 job offers yesterday and am officially hired. I will start as a full time educator with a group of toddlers the first week of July. It is a small, home-based daycare with small groups, which will be a nice change.
Now, to get through the rest of the school year with the ruffians....
The only good thing about this weather is that the grass and trees are finally green, and the flowers are in bloom. Here is my favourite flowering bush.
Can anyone identify it for me?
RD- Glad you got the job you wanted. Good luck with it. The flower looks just like an Azela that I have only mine are pink.
Sounds like your weather is the same as oursÖ.rain and more rain. When will it
End. My yard is a mess. We are considering fencing it in and getting some goats to do the mowing for us!
I havenít been around here for awhile, things have been pretty crazy for us. We had the Ohio State Square Dance convention in Dayton the first weekend in May which was a fun weekend. I had a booth set up there and made a few sales which made me happy. Then on Tues of last week my little granddaughter stayed with me and she was not feeling well. After a trip to Urgent Care we found out why..streep throat. She is now fine but big sis came down with it over the weekend. Hope I donít get it.
The rain here last week caused a lot of flooding. D/H ended up spending the night at the square dance hall in Jackson, Ohio after 5.5 inches of rain fell in just over an hour. The hall is on a hill but all the roads out of there were underwater until Wed. morning. It was a long night for him and the 3 others who had gotten there before the rains came.
We do have good news, D/H has finally gotten everything done and his business now belongs to someone else. He worked with the new guy last week and this week making sure he is comfortable with doing the job. It seems to be going well so as of this Friday D/H will officially be retired! Now the honey-do list can be tackled.
I am so excited for this Sunday. I am going to get to meet Todd, face to face. We spoke over the weekend and made the arrangements. Canít wait to put a face with a name.
Hope everyone has a DRY day but those donít seem to be happening around here. Pouring as I type. Prayers for all those in need.
Donna that flowering plant looks like a rhododendron.
We have a damp day here as well but the week is going by fast and the weekend weather is supposedly going to be better.
Have a nice day everyone.

Yup, flowering plant is a rhododendron. Mine has already flowered and lost all the petals. Just green and light green new growth.
Raining, again, here in NW Ohio and to reach mid-50's F in temperature today. Ugh!
Not much else happening here. I did get a chance to do some scrapping last night. First time in a really long time I felt like doing it. Before surgery, it was hard to work on scrapping with my arms, hands aching and tingling. Not any more!!!!
Good morning everyone from sunny and pleasant Minnesota. It is a beautiful day here. The forecast high is in the upper 60's and there isn't a cloud in the sky.
Yesterday was flower day. We planted our petunias, violets and some other flowers plus we took the gamble and planted the tomato plants I started in March. Hopefully we won't have any cold nights or I'll have to pull out the sheets and cover them.
Nothing major on the agenda for today. I may de-winterize the boat but it isn't a rush since we don't have an open weekend for boating until after we return from the cruise on 6/11.
My brother is stopping by for lunch today so I better start making soup.
Sue: Goats do help keep the lawn mowed but cleaning up after them is worse than mowing.
I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

In 4 days (Saturday) Mrs.Henry 43 and I shall have the pleasure of meeting Manual and Mrs.Manual for lunch and conversation . We have been planning this get together for a while and its finally happening .
Typical upper East Tennessee weather. It's very cool (51F) and lightly raining today with a low forecast over the next three days in the forties. Temps are to rebound to around 68 by Friday and the Sun is scheduled to return on Saturday with temps slowly rising to the high eighties by the end of next week. One day last week it got to 90!
Of course God Willing I'll be in Cleveland most of the week having just loads of fun! DeAnna and I are so looking forward to meeting Sue and her husband on the way up on Sunday! I should note that they have to drive two hours out of their way to meet us and that alone makes me feel so honored. One good thing is Sue's DH doesn't have to worry about getting up for work on Monday!
To repeat a late post on yesterday's thread, DeAnna and I had such a wonderful time at lunch over in Sevierville with Beenie Weenie and her precious children, Westin and Allie.
Hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday and hang in there R/D, I promise it will stop raining and if it doesn't, you can always convert your home into an ark.
